Live Conscious Collagen Peptides Review – Insane Deal?

|  Marketing  |  Ingredients  |  Side Effects  |  Reviews  |  Pricing  |  Pros & Cons  |  Ranking  |  Overall  |

According to the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides reviews, this genuinely makes people look younger.

Many people were thrilled by the positive effects they experienced when it comes to their hair, skin, and nails. Others bragged about it being an amazing solution for pain relief. Others more were thrilled that it is actually tasteless and without smell. Others yet noted that this one is awesome despite being skeptical before.

So, in this article, we will dive into every little detail about the supplement which used to be called LiveWell Collagen Peptides.

Hence, the idea is to be no extension of the manufacturer’s marketing or other similar nonsense. This is all going to be about what I feel is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. And we’ll do that in assessing for marketing, ingredients, side effects (additives), customer feedback, and pricing. We’ll do it the truth-seeking way.

Marketing | It’s Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised, Grade A Everything

According to the manufacturer, the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides, formally LiveWell Collagen Peptides, is “sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised, Grade A bovine, and are certified hormone-free and 100% Non-GMO.” Per their words, it’s all about ensuring that we “can live, look and feel good, inside and out.” So, it sounds good [R].

When it comes to the product page, there’s a lot of well-structured information here. I mean, it’s definitely packed with all kinds of information but I feel it’s not overwhelming just yet as supplements like the Truvani Marine Collagen (review) or Reverse Life Collagen (review).

Live Conscious Collagen Peptides ReviewStill, it does go ham on all kinds of marketing tactics to help people decide in favor of it.

To that end, we’ve got the options to buy more than one right off the bat and save. Then, they also offer further savings if we agree to a subscription (AutoShip). The latter also means that we get free shipping. And another tactic is this notion of a 365-day money-back guarantee.

On top of all that, we also get a section full of unnaturally positive Live Conscious Collagen Peptides reviews. And we even have testimonials.

As for the benefits, it promises quite a few. I mean, it leads with gains to hair, skin, nail, and joint health which are kind of a standard that almost every supplement of this category claims. Whereas benefits to gut health, immune function, bone health, and overall cellular structure are rarer. Still, this is not the only one that promises them.

As for any free-of claims, the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides is said to be Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Preservative-Free, Soy-Free, and Hormone-Free.

So, it sounds great. But is it actually worth the investment?

Ingredients | Live Conscious Collagen Peptides Has Real Quality Contents

Not every Collagen supplement is like the next one. Obviously, there’s a lot of wiggle room but what I’m specifically referring to is how they’re formulated. Namely, there are at least three clearly identifiable, distinct approaches to this.

First, there’s the option to provide only Collagen and don’t bother with anything else like in the Bulletproof Collagen Protein (review). Second, there are those that add one or two extra substances to round it all off like in the Naturelo Collagen (review). Third, there are also almost multivitamin-like options like the Code Age Multi Collagen (review). The Live Conscious Collagen Peptides supplement practices the first one.

Live Conscious Collagen Peptides Ingredients (Supplement Facts)So, per serving (11 grams or about 1.5 scoops), the supplement of this review offers 11 grams of Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen Peptides (Type I & III). Here’s to elaborate on that.

So, we have to discuss the Collagen this has from three different angles. Sourcing. Amounts. Testing.

For sourcing, this is Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised, Hormone-Free, Non-GMO Bovine Collagen. It literally doesn’t get better than this. This is like the ideal way of doing it. And Live Conscious Collagen Peptides follows that [RRRRRRRRR].

For amounts, the most optimal way is to have at least 10 grams of Bovine Collagen per serving. This has 11 grams. Hence, given also the sourcing, it has every reason to deliver on the full range of benefits. Meaning, it’s going to be what it promised and potentially even more [RRRRRRRRR].

For testing, we ideally want a third-party tested product because this ensures purity (no harmful admixtures or contaminants) and potency (it has what the label says it has). I mean, in-house testing is typically fine as well. But here we don’t have to take that compromise. The supplement of this review is third-party tested.

Side Effects | To Review Additives, The Supplement Doesn’t Add Anything

Side effects are typically the product of additives. And additives in that regard are an aspect that quite many manufacturers are not, I guess, conscious enough about. Thus, we end up with supplements that can bring all kinds of hazards. Be they sooner (short-term) or later (long-term).

High-Fructose Corn Syrup And Artificial Colors Are Frequent Contributors In Sweets

Just to illustrate, something like the Olly Undeniable Beauty (review) uses an ingredient that likely actually is High-Fructose Corn Syrup (by the way, which is something very common with candy).

And so, it can promote heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, and all kinds of other chronic conditions [RRRRRR, RRRRR].

Another example would be the RejuviCare Super Collagen (review) which uses Artificial Colors (also very common with sweets). These are ingredients that are often associated just with terrible behavior in children. But the reality of things is that these are potent promoters of cancer as well [RRRRRRR].

So, what about these other ingredients in this Collagen thing of Live Conscious (LiveWell)?

Well, typically, when a supplement claims to be Preservative-Free, it still actually contains additives. And this for most people is a surprise since they tend to assume that if it’s Preservative-Free, it should be Additive-Free.

But with the supplement of review, even with that assumption, we would not be misled into thinking this is something it isn’t. Because it’s just pure Collagen Peptides.

Meaning, there are no other ingredients in this. And that’s a really great way to do it. Because not every manufacturer chooses to do it this way and with about 99% of supplement categories it can’t be done. But when it comes to Collagen powders, that’s very possible. And it is actually not rare that manufacturers do take advantage of that.

As a simple side note, other supplement categories that can be done without any additives are MCT Oils, Carotenoid supplements, all kinds of Vegetable, Fruit, and Superfood powders, and more.

Reviews | Per Customer Feedback, This One Is Very Well-Received

Now, coming back to the section of Live Conscious Collagen Peptides customer reviews that we can find on the manufacturer’s page, it’s very typical. I mean, we’ve got a bunch of customer ratings. The average rating is 5 stars. And the feedback is frankly just unnaturally positive.

Live Conscious Collagen Peptides ReviewsIt’s actually something extremely common with almost any supplement these days. I mean, just to illustrate, something like the Skinny Fit Youth Collagen (review) and Sanar Collagen (review) are just some of the very many examples of this.

I mean, these sections can be easily manipulated by the manufacturers themselves, especially for marketing purposes to take advantage of our natural cognitive biases. Thus, I think it only makes sense if we don’t look at these when assessing the global success rate.

Hence, I took it to all third-party sellers and retailers that I could find. And here’s what I managed to pull together.

In total, I found 9,389 Live Conscious Collagen Peptides reviews. Of these, 8,591 were positive (three-star, four-star, five-star) and 798 were negative (one-star, two-star). Meaning, it is sitting at a 91.5% global success rate.

Which is really good. Generally, anything above 90% is great. That being I do think that the actual success rate is likely even higher due to two reasons.

In Reality The Success Rates Are Probably Even Better

First, people are generally far more intrinsically inclined to report negative experiences than to offer positive ones.

Second, as far as I can tell from the feedback on Amazon, some have identified that it’s arguably not the same product that we can buy when we order directly from the manufacturer (probably a fake). And Live Conscious Collagen Peptides is not alone in this.

Vital Proteins, Code Age, Dr. Emil, and many more brands are all potentially having the same issue. Plus, this is affecting also Turmeric Curcumin supplements, Probiotics, and even Apple Cider Vinegar products, and likely more.

Overall, it’s a rather really concerning trend with purchasing any supplements from platforms that bring together sellers and buyers. Hence, I would highly recommend always getting all supplements from either manufacturer directly or trustable sellers like iHerb, Pharmaca, and others (here’s more on that).

Pricing | Price-On-Value With This Used-To-Be LiveWell Peptides Is Sick

So, we looked at customer feedback and the global success rates but that’s just one practical aspect to look at. Another one is pricing. To that end, while I didn’t really encounter any Live Conscious Collagen Peptides reviews that complained about the cost, that from my experience isn’t enough to say that it’s a good deal. Hence, we kind of have to do some math.

On that note, there are a ton of different options when it comes to pricing. That being said, given how flexible the subscribe-and-save deals are (similarly as we’ve done with other supplements when assessing pricing), I think that typically it will be the $26.99 option that most people will opt for. Still, it’s possible to get it even for $22.99 per bag.

The Price Per Gram Is So Awesome

So, given that a single bag contains 41 servings, this is approximately $0.66 per serving or 59.8 cents for every 10 grams of Bovine Collagen.

And that’s a genuinely good price. Here are a few examples of how it compares to some of its most popular rivals to illustrate.

Let us take the Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (review). The original price of this typically is $27. But we can get it with a 25% discount at $20.25. But it is a one-time thing since for each consecutive order that’s only 15%. Hence, realistically, that’s $22.95 per container. But the container doesn’t hold 41 servings, only 14 is its capacity.

To do the math, that’s $1.64 per serving. But since a serving is 20 grams of peptides, that’s 82.0 cents for every 10 grams of Collagen. Or, in other words, that’s some 25% more than what the Life Conscious costs. Plus, I would argue that Vital Proteins is less quality given that it doesn’t claim Hormone-Free and Non-GMO.

Another capable option out there is the Sports Research Collagen Peptides (review). This one typically costs $30 per container which is 41 servings of 11 grams of the Bovine protein. Thus, it costs about $0.73 per serving or 66.5 cents for every 10 grams of Bovine Collagen. So, it’s about 10% more expensive than the supplement of this review.

Both brands are third-party tested. Both are Non-GMO, Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised. Both have great success rates. And both don’t use any additives. Meaning, realistically, the only difference between them is that Live Conscious is Hormone-Free; Sports Research doesn’t claim that. And, of course, the other difference is price.

Overall | Live Conscious Collagen Is A Genuinely Great Product To Go For

I’ve been researching and doing Collagen supplement reviews for quite some time. Throughout that process, I’ve looked at hundreds, maybe even thousands, of different Collagen products. And I’m very confident that if you have looked for the best Collagen supplement out there, then Live Conscious Collagen Peptides is it.

I Would Absolutely Buy This Collagen Peptides SupplementI mean, everything about this supplement is a positive. It’s got true quality sourcing. It’s got no additives. It’s third-party tested. Good success rates. And pricing is genuinely good. I mean, we’re getting a ton of value for the money.

Now, I would say that there are no negatives to it. But if I had to absolutely name something, I would probably mention the following.

The scoop that is included with the powder is smaller than the serving size which is 11 grams. I mean, we need about 1.5 scoops to get to those 11 grams. Still, there are 41 servings per bag (60+ scoops per bag).

Hence, (out of avoid it, consider it, shortlist it, buy it) I believe this is worth just buying. In fact, as mentioned, I do think that this is the best Bovine Collagen Powder out there.

  1. I have just purchased Live Conscious Collagen Peptides. I am 68 years old and from all the reviews I am looking forward to the benefits. I also purchased K2-D3. I have been diagnosed with osteopedia and with these supplements I am hoping it will reverse the results. If you have any recommendations, or suggestions for this aging adult, I would appreciate any education you can provide. No one thinks I look my age so with the benefits of Collagen Peptides and K2-D3, I’m looking forward to looking 16 and feeling 21 again! :) Thank you!

Good for you. And I’m too looking forward to you looking 16 and feeling 21. :)

And if you get the chance, do let me know how it goes. I’d love to hear from you.

Other than that, if I was to battle osteopenia, K2, D3, and Collagen feel like a great start. That said, I would also be looking into a proper multivitamin, Calcium Hydroxyapatite, and Phosphorus. And I would make sure to add Magnesium to the mix as well (if you are interested, I can drop some decent options for these as well). :)

      Cheers,

  2. Just wanted to say thank you for the great info and review on this product. I haven’t tried lots of other products like this but I do love this product. Since I’ve been using it…about 6 months or so…I have less pain in my joints and I can tell my hair and nails grow faster and my hair feels thicker. Not sure if it actually is but I can definitely tell a difference when I had a gap when I stopped using the product.

  4. What is your collagen recommendation for a collagen that has 5 necessary types of collagen in the product? I always thought that it was best to find a product with all 5 types. Thank you!

    Reply
    • Hey, Tami!

Yeah, I feel you. A bunch of really different takes on that exist. And I would say both single-sourced and multi-sourced Collagens are viable. For me, it’s just the notion of “a jack of all trades is a master of none” why I prefer the single-sourced way of doing things slightly more. But, for sure, do try what feels better to you! :)

For 5 types of Collagen, there are a couple of really great ones I’ve come across. One of them is definitely the BioTrust Ageless Multi Collagen (review). Another one I would consider the Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Powder (review). But my personal favorite is the Live Conscious Beyond Collagen (review).

Both BioTrust and Ancient Nutrition ones need an update. But they are, for sure, what I would prefer if flavors were a thing for me. :)

      I hope this helps, Tami.

  5. Hi. I’ve just begun using Live Conscious Collagen Peptides and have wanted to see some outside reviews. Thank you for all the information you gave, I emailed the company to ask if there are trace antibiotics in the product, since most cattle are given them, but they have not responded. Do you know the answer to that question?
    Thanks!

  6. Thank you for your honest, comprehensive review of Live Well collagen pills. I have a question about the amount of biotin in the supplement. I was going to get it until I saw how much biotin is in it. I read that too much biotin can inhibit benifits of vitamin C and vitamin B6. It can also put a strain on kidneys due to eliminating it if there is too much. Is this true? I already have the FDA recommend dose in my multi. Thank you.

    • Hey, Julee!

This review is entirely on the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides. It doesn’t do any Biotin whatsoever. Hence, no potential concern as far as that goes.

What you’re probably referring to is the Live Conscious Beyond Collagen Capsules. And that one does add Biotin to the mix. And to that end, that’s a really great question. To be really specific, it does 2500 micrograms of that. Here’s what I think about it.

Personally, I don’t think it can negatively affect anything. Per Majo Clinic, the Upper Tolerable Intake Level is beyond 10 000 micrograms. Whereas the Office of Dietary Supplements lists even higher numbers for that. Meaning, both are saying that even if we were to use 10 000 micrograms of Biotin daily for very long periods of time, we wouldn’t encounter any negative effects as far as having too much of the vitamin.

Personally, I wouldn’t do that. If it was a dose of 10 000 micrograms of Biotin per serving, I would stop every three months or so and have a sort of relax period (avoid consuming the supplement for a while). That said, I don’t feel that way about 2500 micrograms of Biotin. Yes, that’s a lot more than what FDA recommends but then, again, what FDA recommends has never been a reference point for optimal health and well-being.

To that end, I think Live Conscious with their Beyond Collagen Capsules has taken the safe road for what the Biotin amounts could be. Because there are many hair-skin-nail-health-oriented supplements that pursue the dose of 10 000 micrograms of Biotin. Beyond Collagen Capsules don’t do that. And anything that your multivitamin adds (they typically add anywhere from 50-1000 micrograms) is fine. It’s still well beyond those 10 000 micrograms.

So, with that in mind, personally, I know I wouldn’t worry about Biotin causing any havoc. Because, the way I see it, it just can’t. :)

      I hope that helps!

The idea of promoting weight loss does apply to any Collagen. That said, I wouldn’t regard it as the best substance to target that goal.
I mean, if it was a goal of mine, I would probably tackle it with an MCT oil, like Nature’s Way MCT Oil (review) and intermittent fasting.

      I hope that helps!

  8. Thanks for the incredibly thorough review! I would like to purchase this but one thing is holding me back. I was told to always look for a Kosher product when purchasing collagen (due to long ago mad cow issue). Vital Proteins is Kosher so I purchased it. I couldn’t see that Collagen Peptides is Kosher from your review or from their packaging info. Do you know if it is Kosher? Thank you

    • Hey, Jan!

Sorry for not managing to get back to you sooner. I hope you’re doing great. :)

I totally get your concern. You’re absolutely right, they don’t display any information that would approve that to be the case. I will have to shoot an email and ask them. I will let you know as soon as I get a reply. I’ll probably just update this comment.

Other than that, as far as I’m aware, the mad cow issue is extremely rare, to say the least. And it seems to me that it’s a product or byproduct of unhealthily raised cows fed with GMO Corn and Soy while also being absolutely stuffed with Antibiotics not to die. Hence, the healthy, natural prion protein within them becomes an abnormal one and turns itself on to the cow’s health.

What I’m not really sure is whether Kosher removes that theoretical probability. To that end, I believe that the safest bet is to have it be Pasture-Raised, Grass-Fed, Hormone-Free Collagen, and Non-GMO. The way I see it, if it’s of that quality, that mad cow disease shouldn’t be an issue. Ever.

I haven’t been hanging at the Colostrum scene too much. But I’m pretty sure they should compound on top of each other.
Meaning, the way I see it, they’re both kind of adding different layers to the whole notion of anti-aging and joint flexibility.

      I hope that makes sense.

        • Hey, Margie!

Personally, for me, the two supplement categories feel absolutely nothing alike. Meaning, the benefit profile they each provide is entirely different.

Collagen is for, to the very least, stronger hair, nails, skin, as well as anti-aging effects. Whereas Colostrum is more about gut health and hence, immune system and a bunch of other stuff that improves through fostering gut health. I mean, Colostrum to me feels like something that might in a way compete with Probiotics. But not with Collagen.

I guess that’s just a really long way of saying that I recommend both. :)

  11. Best information I have found. I have one question, how does this compare to equilibrium advanced collagen support? I am having knee and ankle issues and want the best for those. I used vital proteins for a year, no real difference, now have used equilibrium for 6 months with no real difference. Want to try Live well but want your opinion on comparison. Thank you!

    • Hey, Becky!

I appreciate the kind words. And I feel you.

On that note, I feel it might actually have to do with the product category rather than the particular product itself. Meaning, it might be just that Collagen isn’t exactly what your body craves for your knees and ankles. And so, personally, if I was in your place, I wouldn’t go with the LiveWell. Instead, what I would do is try approaching the issue with Turmeric Curcumin.

I’ve done a lot of research in that space, and I’m more than sure. It’s arguably the absolute best thing to try when battling joint-related stuff. Plus, it has the potential to grant a plethora of other gains. And while I haven’t found the time to create a best-of list for that category yet, I have done the research though. Here’s a full review of what I’m very confident is the absolute best, most powerful Turmeric Curcumin supplement on the market right now – both in terms of the value and the price it comes for.

Other than that, as for the Equilibrium Advanced Collagen Support, I really like that one. It feels very sophisticated. I mean, the patented formulations it uses, it also seems to not use additives, and to do third-party testing. All of which is really, really great. Definitely a buy-able thing the way I see it. Is it better? I feel it depends on how you look at it.

Because innately Collagen is not about helping joints. It does help, it can and has proven to help through the Fortigel Collagen in this Equilibrium, or the Genacol Collagen (full review), or the Verisol Collagen (full review). But it’s still kind of not the main thing. At least that’s the way I see it. It’s more for hair, skin, and nails despite marketing being all over the place these days.

Generally speaking, I feel it’s very hard to compare them due to this difference in the main emphasis. And so, personally, for hair, skin, nails, I wouldn’t pick it over the LiveWell option. It doesn’t feel better, especially if we’re considering the price (yeah, it’s not as great of value for the price). Plus, it’s Collagen from chicken instead of bovine.

Whereas for joints, as mentioned earlier, I would prefer a different category of supplements altogether. However, this is not in any way to say that Collagen, especially these patented versions, can’t make all the difference in that area. It’s just a different approach. For some, Collagen like these will be the significantly more contributing option; for others (I believe most), that option will be Turmeric Curcumin stuff (and they can definitely also complement each other!). Either way, it of itself, the Equilibrium Advanced Collagen Support does seem to me as one of the finer options if we want to tackle joints with Collagen, specifically.

I hope that makes sense, Becky!

Cheers, and have a Great One!

  14. Hello there, an absolutely amazing review you’ve managed to put together. I adore the in-depth-ness of this. It’s actually quite rare to come across articles like yours. I’ve found that most supplement reviews are usually pretty plain and barely provide any insight. With that in mind, yours is not the case at all. Thank you. By the way, I loved the success rates section. Keep up the good work.

  16. Great article!!!  I currently take a collagen supplement but this one here looks much better!  The one i’m currently on causes me to be nausea at times and I haven’t seen any improvements.

I’m going to look at buying what you’re suggesting.  Have you personally tried any of them here?

I haven’t yet. But if I ever would, that’s what I would go for.

  17. Your site is well laid out and I love that you didn’t use a lot of pictures. I had no idea that collagen existed. I now know enough about it that if I heard that word on the radio I would at least know what they were talking about. I am still befuddled about the subject, but now I know where to get information on it. Very well done. Good looking site. Good luck with this.
