Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins Review – Read Before Purchasing

Vitafusion gummy vitamins might be your typical choice for vitamins. Or they might be just something you want to explore. Either way, hear me out!

There are a few things that are crucial to know for absolutely anyone, who are considering or taking them.

In this review-overview, I will go over all of the fundamental details that you should know before purchasing Vitafusion vitamins. But don’t get me wrong, I do not plan this article to take you 30 minutes or even 5 minutes to read.

I will keep in concise, straight to the point and in a conversational matter as if I was there right next to you.

Some of the ugly truths will come out. So, be prepared. Let’s jump right in.

Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins – The Philosophy

Vitafusion is very simple in their philosophy.

Vitafusion Is All About Making Their Gummies Taste GoodThey aspire for enjoyable, delicious nutrition for everyone. Meaning the only thing they really care about is whether or not that piece of nutrition will taste good [R].

And this very same idea can also be found in their slogan: “We Make Nutrition Taste Good” [R].

To put it in another way – their “introduction of a full range of delicious, gummy vitamins and supplements has provided consumers with an enjoyable and convenient alternative to traditional vitamin pills and tablets” [R].

So, there isn’t really anything else that they truly aspire to. Being tasty is essentially everything for them.

So, is the quality of the supplements secondary for them?

The Quality Vitafusion Subscribes To

Vitafusion is considered America’s #1 Gummy Vitamin Brand. But that has little to do with the quality they aspire to. Rather it seems to be a product of a straight up quantitive measure. Namely, it’s because they offer nearly 30 different variations of gummy vitamins and not because of some other circumstance [R, R, R, R].

Vitafusion Seemingly Doesn't Go After Quality As Hard As Many Other CompaniesThere are, however, also talks about Vitafusion being the only gummy vitamin brand, which gummy vitamin efficacy has been clinically proven. This could somewhat add to the fact of Vitafusion being the No. 1 brand but that is not for sure [R, R, R, R].

In general, there isn’t much available on their quality. They have a facility that is GMP-certified but that’s about it. Supposedly there is some testing as regards to the supplement quality and purity done by some random certified contract laboratories. But there is no way of making this certain.

All in all, their claims are in no way convincing in terms of the quality they aspire to. There are many, many manufacturers, who put way more effort forth to assure that their vitamins are of the highest quality.

Vitafusion either doesn’t care as much or they’re just not as high of a quality.

There’s A Lot Of Supplements To Choose From

With having exactly 26 different gummy vitamins in Vitafusion’s line-up, they supposedly are diverse and versatile in what they can provide. I wouldn’t, however, say that there’s something for absolutely everything. In truth, they are very limited in what they offer.

Vitafusion Gummy VitaminsThere are two different vitamin D3 supplements, three different B12 supplements, three different Melatonin (sleep promotion) supplements, two Fiber supplements, two Biotin supplements (hair, skin, nails), two B complex supplements, and one off each of vitamin C, Calcium, Omega-3, CoQ10, and Probiotic.

Then in addition to that, there’s also a bunch of various multivitamin supplements (several of each) for men, women, prenatal and a general one. Neither of these, however, I wouldn’t recognize as solid multivitamins that you could actually take to improve your health.

There are numerous troubles with these. The first and most obvious one is that the nutrients they provide are in amounts that are too scarce. In fact, many of the nutrients in these supplements are not even in sufficient amounts to ensure the protection for you against possible deficiency diseases.

But there is even a worse of a drawback to these multivitamin supplements. Furthermore, this one drawback is common among all Vitafusion gummy vitamins.

Are Gummy Vitamins Good For You?

Sugar is known to be the root cause of obesity, aggressive behavior, learning difficulties, hyperactivity, diabetes, heart disease, depression, eating disorders, cancer, and a huge variety of other conditions. So, no, Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins will not be good to you [R, R, R, R, R, R].

It's Fair To Say That Sugar Won't Improve Your HealthI don’t think that any of these conditions was particularly in your mind when you first considered purchasing Vitafusion vitamins. You wanted to improve your health not mess it up, right?

Plus, the regular consumption of sugars (and consequently also the supplements of Vitafusion) is only to increase the likelihood of these conditions occurring.

In fact, just the typical processed sugar wouldn’t be as bad. There’s another substance that trumps the regular sugar. It’s the ultimate form of sugar, which has found its way in many of the Vitafusion supplements.

Glucose Syrup.

I bet you’ve heard of the High Fructose Corn Syrup (and of the pure devastation it does to our bodies). What about Glucose Syrup?

Well, it’s the same thing [R, R, R, R, R, R].

People got too aware of the High Fructose Corn Syrup, so the sugar industry came up with alternative names for this ingredient to hide it in foods and supplements that we take. Among the synonyms are also names like Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Maize Syrup, Natural Corn Syrup, Tapioca Syrup and many other (for a full list visit this article) [R, R, R, R, R, R].

Ignoring Substances Like Glucose Syrup Will Severely Affect Your Well-BeingIf you’re familiar with the massively adverse effects of this substance, I’m sorry for reiterating the stuff. But those of you, who are not, I have to list them. You have to know.

So, High Fructose Corn Syrup is known to be the root cause of weight gain, massive liver damage (fatty liver), obesity, diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, dementia, leaky gut, cancer, increased cholesterol, high blood pressure, increased mercury intake, coronary heart disease and many, many others [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

I mean, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that this is probably something you shouldn’t be putting in your body.

Not only will it adversely affect your health and well-being, but that stuff will also quite literally kill you.

Thus, I highly advise to not take Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins, especially ones that contain Glucose Syrup.

Are Gummy Vitamins Better Than Regular Vitamins?

No, no, no! Even if we overlook all the adverse effects of Sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup that most gummy vitamins have, they still offer insufficient and ineffective amounts of nutrients for great health. Our Health Is Everything

Thus, the additional nutrients from gummy vitamins are just not worth it considering how detrimental the stuff that is added to them can be.

On the other hand, proper regular vitamins are both nutritious and do not compromise anyone’s health with the additives that they have. Thus, these are the options that will actually improve your health instead of worsening it.

So, if you’re interested in complementing your diet with supplements, here’s a good place to start.

What Is Vitafusion Good For?

The honest truth is that they have nothing going for them, except the taste.

But if you’re in for the taste then just better go with regular candy and buy a proper supplement for complimenting your diet. You’ll be better off that way than fooling around with the Vitafusion gummy vitamins.

Final Thoughts On The Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins

Ultimately, the Vitafusion gummy vitamins are a very poor choice of supplementation.

Any attempts that they’ve displayed in providing nutrients for good health is overshadowed by their fullness of sugar and in many cases also the High Fructose Corn Syrup (hidden under the name of Glucose Syrup).

So, if you truly care for your health, in place of Vitafusion gummy vitamins it’s infinite times better to opt for properly created regular vitamins.

For A Healthier Future Go With The Best Multivitamin SupplementsMany of that kind you will be able to find throughout this website. But arguably the best place to start is with either the best multivitamin for men or the best ones for women (based on 100% Daily Values).

Alternatively, you can also take a look through the unconventional prism at the multivitamin supplements (based on the best practices for nutrient amounts).

  1. Thanks so much for this review! I have always been skeptical of gummy vitamins (Vitafusion or not) and this just confirms why. I can’t believe they try to pass it off as healthy when it’s basically candy with some vitamins added in so they can say they tried. I think another problem with supplements in general is people try to treat them as a make-up for poor nutrition in the diet. A balanced diet is where most of our vitamins and minerals are supposed to come from, so we shouldn’t be so reliant on supplements, anyway. Thanks again for writing this and bringing attention to the fact that these are not all they are cracked up to be!

    1. Hey, Steve!

Really glad you enjoyed the article. Really happy to hear that!
Other than that, I do completely agree, supplements shouldn’t be treated as a quick fix for pour diet (cause they don’t work that way) but rather as something that compliments your diet.

Cheers, and have a Great One!

  2. I am really glad that I read this review about Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins. After going through the whole article I found out of just how much of a poor choice it is to be taking these supplements (of this Vitafusion brand). Thank you so much for all the research and time you devoted into this.

But most importantly, thank you for sharing it with us.

    1. Hey, Sujandar!

I’m really glad you enjoyed the article! Totally made my day!
And you’re very welcome, delighted I was able to help.

Cheers and have a Great One!

  3. I wouldn’t be so keen to explore a product whose manufacturers only think about the culinary value of the product. Thanks for bringing this to light. The main reason for using a multivitamin is in fact to get the nutrients. It’s a pity that with all the hype, Vitafusion is just in for the good taste. I will resort to the regular products henceforth. This article has been very helpful, stay healthy and happy too.Best regards

    1. Hey, Victor!

I absolutely share your view. Multivitamins (and vitamins in general) are for nutrients, not the taste!
And I’m delighted you found it helpful!

Cheers and have a Great One!

  4. Damn, much to my disdain I bought some of these for my daughter last week. I thought at least if they taste nice she will take them. The last box of kiddie vitamins that I bought lasted her a year as she just forgot or didn’t like taking them, so I hoped the Gummy Vitamins would at least taste better, which they do.

I guess I am encouraging the sweet tooth here and as you say the vitamins themselves are not that good so next bottle I will go a little less sweet.

    1. Hey! Well, it’s not the end of the world, Michel, if she barely ever takes them.
But as I did mention in the article, they aren’t known for being nutritional either.

Either way, I do see it as a common problem that not only children forget or do not particularly enjoy taking vitamins, but also grown adults. I will try to make an article in the future on how to manage this.
Thank you for the insights, I appreciate it!

Cheers and a Have a Great One!

  5. WOW. What an insightful article. Someone was actually peaching this product to my wife the other day and what we did was to pick up the phone to contacted them and find out more. To my surprise, they’ve got the worst customer service ever. I had an unacceptable experience. The receptionist was so rude and not helpful at all. She had a bad attitude. As the first person you encounter, the receptionist needs to make a good first impression. You expect to be talking to someone who has a professional attitude and can assist you in a nice professional way. The receptionist even refused to give us her name maybe because she knew we were going to give her a bad review or complaint. Not professional at all!0 Star!!

    1. Hey, Tony!

I appreciate the kind words! And I’m delighted you enjoyed the article.
I had no idea about customer service. Thank you for sharing the insights. I’m sure people will appreciate it.

Cheers and have a Great One!

  6. Thanks for a fresh review of Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins! I think I’ve wanted to read a review of this product for some time now after someone talked about it in a health-related blog post. In as much as you’ve mentioned in your review that Gummy Vitamins has nothing so special for men except for the taste, it doesn’t stand the chance of representing a great choice of supplementation. I’ll rather follow the link you gave in your post to complement my diet with supplements. Thanks for your honest review!

  7. I have been overseas for a number of years, so was not even aware that there were products like Vitafusion Gummy Vitamins on the market. The name alone sounds a bit counterintuitive, as in how can the sweet candy that many kids like for snacks be in any way good for you?

It does not make sense, other than trying to make taking a vitamin supplement more palatable for kids…Based on that alone, using these would be a no-go for me. All of the other information you have provided just backs up my first impression.

There are other alternatives out there that make a lot more sense to me, and you have provided some links that also seem to be viable alternatives. Your post does bring up the point too that the quality is often not the same across brands. I think paying a bit more and knowing that you are getting what you expect is worth it.

Good review, eye-opening hopefully for some people that are considering giving these to their kids. There is plenty of sugar in products already, add more to a multivitamin makes little sense!  You may have saved a few teeth and cases of diabetes for some families with this post!

    1. Hey, Dave!

I really hope I’ve saved a few teeth and a whole bunch of diabetes, and everything else that comes with it.
I’m glad you agree that this is definitely not a product people should go for, and especially to give to their kids.

Cheers and have a Great One, Dave!
