In this Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin Review we are going to take an in-depth look at the supplement.
I plan on not leaving any questions unanswered so that you wouldn’t have to jump from a review to a review to find what you’re looking for.
Therefore, if I happen to not go over an aspect you would like more information about, let me know in the comments and I’ll add a relevant section in the article. Or I might just provide an answer in the comments, it all depends on the scale.
Either way, let’s jump right in.
Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin Review: Overview
So, Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin is a multivitamin supplement that is created in the form of gummy vitamins. Thus, the alternative name you might see or encounter for this one is Vitafusion Men Gummy Vitamins.
It’s essentially (also evident by the name) geared towards the health of men. However, also women can use it with great benefit (no nutrients are wasted).
Namely, Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin is the complete supplement geared towards the well-being of men; essential vitamins and minerals are combined within the gummy.
All of which, again, isn’t entirely true, to say the least.
4 Things To Love About The Supplement
So, let’s be positive. Let’s start with 4 things to love about the Vitafusion Men Gummy Vitamins. Thus, here are the 4 things:
- The supplement offers sufficient amounts of preformed vitamin A (720 mcg of Retinol Palmitate or 1309 IU);
- The supplement offers sufficient amounts of the right form of vitamin D (25 mcg of Cholecalciferol or 1000 IU);
- The supplement offers the best form of Iodine in sufficient amounts (Potassium Iodide, 38 mcg);
- The supplement offers the best form of Chromium in sufficient amounts (Chromium Picolinate, 123 mcg).
This is genuinely all I can say to make a case for it. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to notice that these are very minor things.((The supplement is evaluated in accordance with Prime Daily Values.))
We are talking about the complete multivitamin supplement for God’s sake, which should cover all of your needs nutritional needs. And this literally is how it covers it.
This is because every other nutrient of the complete 26 nutrients that are essential for your well-being and thus to be had in your daily multivitamin is either of scarce amounts or non-existent.
Poverty Is How Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin Rolls
The Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin truly does not have a lot to be proud of.
Here are the nutrients, which it does offer in limited amounts:
- Vitamin C – 30 mg; optimal are 500-1000 mg;
- Vitamin E – 15 mg or 20.4 IU; optimal are 400 IU;
- Vitamin B6 – 4.3 mg; optimal are 25-50 mg;
- Vitamin B9 (Folate) – 400 mcg; optimal are 800 mcg;
- Vitamin B12 – 7.2 mcg; optimal are 500-1000 mcg;
- Vitamin B7 (Biotin) – 30 mcg; optimal are 300-1000 mcg;
- Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) – 2.5 mg; optimal are 100-500 mg;
- Iodine – 38 mcg; optimal are 75 mcg;
- Zinc – 3.8 mg; optimal are 10-30 mg;
- Molybdenum – 12 mcg: optimal are 25-75 mcg;
- And Boron – 150 mcg; optimal are 1000 mcg.
And just to give you an idea about the whole picture, here is a list of those that it does not offer at all, yet which are crucial:
Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin K1, Calcium, Magnesium, Selenium, Copper, Manganese, Vanadium, Choline, Inositol, as well as Carotenoids (part of Vitamin A) and Tocopherols, Tocotrienols (both part of Vitamin E).
So, the supplement is pretty poor and scanty in terms of the nutrients that it offers. Thus, it will be very poor and scanty also in terms of benefits to your health.
Even more so, because it’s all about the sugar.
The Additives It Has Are To Avoid
If you recall earlier I did point out that the Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin is a gummy multivitamin. And being such it’s sweet and tasty, much like candy. Which according to the manufacturer are among the best traits of the supplement.
But at what cost? Why are these vitamins tasty exactly?
The answer can be found among the additives that it employes. Here’s a complete list:
- Glucose Syrup;
- Citric Acid;
- Color (blueberry and carrot concentrates, purple carrot juice concentrates);
- Fumaric Acid;
- Lactic Acid;
- Natural Flavors.
So, the answer pretty much lies in the first two – the Glucose Syrup and Sugar. Natural Flavors can also be somewhat a part of the created sweetness of the pill, but it’s in no way as detrimental.
The risks with running Sugar and Glucose Syrup as additives in your supplement are huge.
First, let me just tell you (or remind you) that Glucose Syrup is a known alternative name for High Fructose Corn Syrup, which the industry has created to hide this incredibly harmful substance. Because people were getting more aware and starting to avoid that stuff intently [R, R, R, R, R, R].
For a complete list of the alternative names, visit the article I did on Additives.
Furthermore when we look at the science High Fructose Corn Syrup and Sugar, in general, is responsible for some very devastating conditions. The former way, way more than the latter, however, both are known to be detrimental.
They are responsible for such conditions as diabetes, obesity, weight gain, eating disorders, heart disease, cancer, liver damage, aggressive behavior, depression, hyperactivity (especially in children), learning difficulties (again, especially in children), and they have many other unpleasant consequences [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].
So, the question is…
Do we really want to have these kinds of additives in our daily multivitamin?
I sure don’t. Do you?
Final Thoughts On The Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin
Vitafusion Men’s Multivitamin or the so-called Vitafusion Men Gummy Vitamins is definitely not worth the money. Neither will it really add to your health.
Instead with all the sugar, plus the Glucose Syrup in it, it is way more likely to sabotage it – your health.
On the other hand, not all multivitamins are like that.
There are also truly great and nutritional multivitamin supplements, which will only add to your health. For a list of those visit the article on the best conventional multivitamin supplements for men.
