In this Vitafusion Vitamin D3 Review, we will take a close in-depth look at everything there is about this specific supplement of Vitafusion.
As always, we’ll examine some of the claims first. Then we’ll look at the vitamin D form and the amounts that it is provided in. Then, of course, the Achilles heel of many – additives. And at the very end, we’ll also assess how true those claims are.
The goal here is to create a review so thorough that there would not be a need for you to ever look at another supplement review for this specific supplement. Therefore, if there is a section or aspect I haven’t covered but you’re interested in, let me know. And I’ll add that to the review.
Vitafusion Vitamin D3 Review – Overview
Vitafusion Vitamin D3 is a supplement all about combining both of two worlds – health and taste.
And when examining the description page (sale’s page) of this particular one that is exactly what it portrays.
“With 2000 IU of vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin, each serving of vitafusion™ Vitamin D3 supports bones and teeth, as well as the immune system. These great-tasting gummies are made with natural peach, blackberry and strawberry flavors” [R].
Additionally, there is also the mention of vitamin D helping the absorption of Calcium, as well as the supplement itself being Gluten-Free.
But to top it all off, Vitafusion presents itself as America’s #1 Gummy Vitamin Brand.
And it’s also a supplement on the Amazon Bestsellers list in the category for vitamin D supplements.
Vitamin Form-Wise It’s The Best There Is
When it comes to the vitamin form used in the Vitafusion Vitamin D3 supplement, it’s the best there is.
Thus, although it may seem that D2 or D3 do not make a whole lot of difference, in truth, it does.
The Supplement – Supposedly Rigid Amount-Wise
Thus, the only option you can supposedly go with is the 2000 IU (50 mcg) one.
Which by no means is bad but supposedly gives you slightly less flexibility when considering its compatibility with other vitamins you might be using.
However, when we do take a closer look at the supplement, it’s worth noting that the dose of 2000 IU is achieved through 2 gummy vitamins.
Thus, any single gummy vitamin will grant you with 1000 IU (25 mcg), which is easily flexible and adjustable to your own needs either the 1000 IU for a child, 2000 IU for a healthy adult or 5000 IU for a deficient one [R].
As well as any other dose in between or above.
Run & Avoid – Additives Do NOT Bring Good
The Vitafusion Vitamin D3 employs all of the following additives – Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Water, Gelatin, Blend of Coconut And Palm Oil, Beeswax, Carnauba Wax, Canola Lecithin, Citric Acid, Various Colors (Annatto Extract, Blueberry, Carrot and Purple Carrot Juice Concentrates), Lactic Acid, Medium Chain Triglycerides, and Natural Flavors.
While it takes no rocket scientist to grasp that it’s probably too much, we’ll be looking at just some of them as they pretty much seal the deal in terms of this being or not being a solid and viable vitamin D supplement.
The deciding additives are Glucose Syrup and Sugar.
Glucose Syrup is one of the most devasting and excruciating substances you can ever come across or consume. In fact, Glucose Syrup is just a different name for the substance called High Fructose Corn Syrup [R, R, R, R, R, R].
So, no wonder those gummies taste good. This good taste comes, however, with a heavy price for your health and well-being. The High Fructose Corn Syrup is known to be the root cause of weight gain, obesity, cancer, liver damage, diabetes, heart disease and many other undesirable health conditions [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].
Additionally, there’s also the simple form of sugar present. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t call it healthy either.
To be more precise, sugar consumption in great amounts (or any amounts) is linked to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, depression, aggressive behavior, hyperactivity, eating disorders, cancer, learning difficulties and many, many more adverse effects [R, R, R, R, R, R].
Thus, sugar being a part of your daily vitamin supplement or any vitamin supplement is absolutely obnoxious.
In truth, Vitafusion Vitamin D3 is more like a supplement for sugar than it is for the vitamin D. It’s as if we didn’t have enough sugar in our day to day lives already.
This is not compatible with Great or even just good health.
And this is exactly why the #1 cause of death in America is chronical illnesses.
There are so many options out there that do not involve any form or amount of sugar in them.
Stop pretending that eating gummy vitamins as your nutritional support is healthy. Cause it’s not.
It’s killing you!
A Few Words On The Claims Of Vitafusion Vitamin D3
While all of the claims are true, what they do forget to mention is at what cost to your health does that taste come.
I really can’t emphasize enough how detrimental to your health these vitamins will be in the long run.
What’s worse so incredibly many people have bought into the lies that the typical vitamins (ones that don’t contain sugar) are hard to swallow or they leave an unpleasant taste in the mouth. It’s ridiculous.
And nothing can be further from the truth.
Proper, high-quality multivitamins and other vitamins usually are tasteless and can be swallowed without any difficulties.
In fact, I myself usually take them even without water.
At the end of the day, if you really find them too disgusting (even when tasteless) either make a freshly squeezed juice and use that to flush down those vitamins. Or take a minute and Toughen Up.
Final Thoughts On Vitafusion Vitamin D3
Vitafusion Vitamin D3 is a horrible no good very bad vitamin D supplement that you should never go for.
