|Potassium Sulfite (E225) is a white solid inorganic compound (synthetic preservative) used in food to prevent spoilage from bacteria and fungi. It is also used in the making of Sulfite-Ammonia Caramel (E150d) and can be used as a bleaching agent when it comes to sugar production. It can also be used in the production of wine.

|Up to 0.7 milligrams for every kilogram of body weight daily is supposedly the safe dose. But that has no real research behind it. It is banned in the EU and the US.
