LCR Health Active-PK Review – Genuine Belly Fat Destroyer?

Marketing  |  Ingredients  |  Additives  |  Reviews  |  Pricing  |  Overall  |

This LCR Health Active-PK review is about breaking it all down and truly assessing whether or not this is a supplement worth paying for.

Throughout this one, we will be at all kinds of aspects. We’ll first do marketing and claims. Which will be followed by theoretical aspects of both the active and inactive ingredients. Which will then be about the more practical aspects in the form of customer reviews (global success rates) and pricing aspects.

This LCR Health Active-PK Review To Have A Truth-Oriented Look At It

According to the manufacturer, LCR Health Active-PK Longevity Activator is “a revolutionary formula designed to help fight fatigue and abdominal fat so you can enjoy a stronger, slimmer-feeling body.” Per their words, “This formula works by using natural compounds to help activate AMPK — your metabolic ‘master switch’ — which tells your body to stop storing fat and start converting it into clean, usable fuel.” So, I guess fair to say, it’s real sophisticated-sounding [R].

LCR Health Active-PK ReviewWhereas after that, we are led straight into the kind of three main gains associated with the product. They promise that “this can lead to more energy, fewer cravings, and a slimmer waistline.” And apart from all the already mentioned, they also promise greater capacity for clear thinking [R].

So, I’d say that this LCR Health is quite a tempting supplement to consider, even if our main goal is not weight loss or less belly fat.

As for marketing tactics, they have quite a few things. The obvious number one is the 90-day money-back guarantee. Then, it also offers customer reviews which seem to all be overwhelmingly positive. And then, of course, they also offer deals on the more we buy right off the bat which comes with free shipping as well.

Other than that, the product page itself seems to offer an absolute wealth of information through its FAQs section. However, despite that, it’s all tidy and well-structured, hence, avoiding the notion of information overwhelm by miles. Which is awesome and it looks so much more presentable, professional, and just cleaner.

In other words, I like that Active-PK’s product page a lot. Even more so because they also list full citations and references at the end of the page. Plus, the product is third-party tested for purity and quality.

So, is it worth it? Is it truly as good as it sounds based on the marketing materials alone?

To Review Ingredients, It All Revolves Around That ActivAMP

The LCR Health Active-PK Longevity Activator doesn’t do tons of different ingredients in small to minuscule amounts to fulfill those gains like so many other supplements in this area, I feel, tend to do. No, it settles at a few powerful ingredients at more decent amounts to get the job properly done.

LCR Health Active-PK IngredientsSo, per serving (two capsules), the Active-PK supplement offers 450 milligrams of Gynostemma pentaphyllum leaf extract (ActivAMP), 100 milligrams of Quercetin Dihydrate, and 100 milligrams of Berberine HCl. And we get 30 such servings per container.

The core ingredient of the supplement I feel is the ActivAMP (Actiponin). It’s a patented ingredient created from the Gynostemma pentaphyllum which is an adaptogenic herb. A herb like that contains a number of different compounds (like alarmins and sestrins). What these compounds do is activate an enzyme called AMPK or Adenosine 5′-Monophosphate-Activated Protein Kinase or commonly known as the Master Metabolic Regulator [R, R, RR, R].

It’s called that way because it, essentially, switches on the exact same fat-burning and energy-producing metabolic stuff that common exercise does. Or, in other words, to a certain degree, it’s like having one’s body exercise without actually physically doing anything. And thus, consequently, it leads to reduced body weight, body mass, and body fat, as well as less appetite and more energy [R, R, R, R, R, R]

While I reckon for some this all might sound too good to be true, there’s some solid research behind it. I mean, I was initially skeptical as well. But it’s hard to argue with at least two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies (total 180 people over 12 weeks) that prove this, essentially, beyond a shadow of a doubt [R, R, R].

ActivAMP Has Been Tested By At Least Two TrialsFurthermore, the dosage used in this LCR Health Active-PK is what was used in the trials. So, it’s not only promising, it’s instead properly proven to be effective.

Then, we got Quercetin. It’s a compound known to be very capable of fighting all kinds of inflammation. And so, through that not only can it help combat allergies, diabetes, and obesity, reduce pain, and support heart health, but also promote anti-aging, benefit joint health, provide anti-cancer properties, as well as among other benefits aid in the protection of skin and liver health [RRRR].

Granted, there isn’t particularly too much of it in the Active-PK of LCR Health. I mean, around 500 milligrams would be ideal. This one, however, offers about five times less. Which I feel is still okay and something that shouldn’t be frowned upon. Still, the main reason for its being in this product, I feel, is its capacity to work as an AMPK activator [RR, R, R, R, R, R].

Lastly, it’s about Berberine. It’s a compound typically associated with its anti-cancer, antimicrobial, antibiotic, and overall anti-inflammatory properties. That said, it has also shown to be capable in combating allergies, promoting immune function, boosting heart health, improving digestion, as well as lowering blood glucose levels among other stuff [RRRRRRRRRR]

As for the amounts, it’s kind of the same story as with Quercetin. We’ve got 100 milligrams when more optimal would be around 500-1500 milligrams. Hence, the potential for gains is probably there but it likely won’t be the full extent of it. On that note, it’s probably there just to give that AMPK an extra kick which it can [R, R, R, R].

All in all, in simple terms, I feel it basically works like this. ActivAMP is the main ingredient to bring all the benefits whereas Quercetin and Berberine are there to augment the potential effects of that.

It’s All Great For Additives, They Are Typically Better Than Harmless

Generally speaking, I typically find that third-party tested supplements tend to use only the most harmless of ingredients or sometimes none at all. A great example of that are supplements like Reserveage Collagen Booster (review) and NatureWise Curcumin (review).

Rice Flour Is A Solid Gluten-Free ThingSo, does that hold true also for this LCR Health Active-PK Longevity Activator?

It does. It uses just three additives. Rice Flour. Hypromellose, Vegetable Stearic Acid. Furthermore, all of them are some of the safest there is [RRR, RRRR].

I mean, the first two are bound to be nothing but slightly beneficial at worst. Whereas the third while it has had its fair share of bad resonance throughout the internet in terms of undermining the immune system, all of that is utter BS [RRRRR].

Yes, it might not be the majority’s opinion that Stearic Acid is safe but it’s the scientifically sound one. The opposite opinion is, essentially, just a huge misunderstanding of the available research [RRRRR].

Whereas to add to that notion even more, Stearic Acid is something that babies consume through mother’s milk tons of, more than we ever could with supplements [RRRRR].

Customer Reviews Are A Tricky Thing, Don’t Just Always Trust Them

Now, we’ve come to customer reviews and the success rates. These are always very interesting with revolutionary-like supplements such as ours truly, the Active PK of LCR Health. Sometimes they are a great source of confidence in supplements like these. Other times they can be deceiving as hell. It’s all about the context.

LCR Health Active-PK ReviewsAs with most product pages out there, the one at our hands also contains a customer review section. Here we have 27 reviews total, all of which are either four stars or higher. So, overwhelmingly positive feedback.

But, to tell the truth, that’s kind of a common thing when it comes to customer comments on product pages. Because manufacturers are typically very interested in selling. And more good reviews make it easier to sell. Hence, they likely get adjusted to fit their marketing needs better.

This is fine but it doesn’t help us in finding the truth. And, therefore, I sought what I can find on all the third-party sellers.

It turns out the feedback isn’t that great at all, plus, the scarcity. I mean, in total, I found only 31 LCR Health Active-PK reviews. Of these, 11 were 1-star ones. Hence, while it may be a little early to tell (because the raw total review count is just not sufficiently high yet), it seems that it might be at a 64.5% success rate. Which is miserable. That’s very bad.

Granted, there were other reviews on TrustPilot and SiteJabber, however, I felt I had to disqualify them for the purpose of this review. That was because of two reasons. First, all of the reviews were positive on both sites. Second, even the positive ones were sometimes negative yet still showed up as 5-star or 4-star. Which, at least in my mind, takes all of the credibility away.

Where Does That Leave Us With The Reviews? So, where does it leave us with LCR Health Active-PK reviews?

While it may look bad, this is exactly the type of case where context is everything. What I’m trying to say is that in this particular case, I believe that customer reviews do not matter at all. Why is that?

That’s because we have a supplement that contains patented ingredients that have solid research behind them. Research that proves that the ingredients work and that they can be very beneficial.

Hence, if the gain is not felt, there are likely other reasons for it not because the product doesn’t work (which can be anything from “haven’t been using long enough” to “haven’t been consistent enough” to “have made bad choices nutritionally and more”).

I’m Not A Fan Of How This LCR Health Supplement Is Priced

Generally speaking, I guess it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Active-PK isn’t exactly a cheap supplement. But what interests us more is whether or not there are comparable products as far as ingredient composition. And then, if there are, it’s whether or not those costs compare favorably to what other brands can potentially offer.

So, this LCR Health one typically prices at $89.95 per 30 servings of two capsules, which is a month’s supply. Hence, it costs about $3.00 per serving or per day for those 450 milligrams of ActivAMP (plus the Quercetin and Berberine).

It Is Properly Costly Per ContainerNow, how does that compare? I found a couple.

We’ve got Swanson Activamp Amp-K Stimulator which typically comes for $19.09. It has 60 capsules of 225 milligrams of ActivAMP without any additions. Hence, it’s 0.64 per every 450 milligrams of ActivAMP instead of $3.00. Which is almost 5 times the difference in price.

Now, granted, the Swanson option doesn’t offer any Quercetin or Berberine. Still, for that margin, one can add those easily through other supplements and still have plenty of money to spare.

Also, there are no other significant differences between the two supplements in terms of quality or otherwise (Swanson is also third-party tested).

Life Extension AMPK Metabolic Activator is also considerably cheaper. It’s something that is typically priced at around $28.50 per container which has 30 capsules (month’s worth). Hence, it costs $0.95 per capsule which is also the price for every 450 milligrams of ActivAMP. But unlike Swanson, it also adds 500 milligrams of Hesperidin.

So, again, an absolutely massive difference as far as price. And while Life Extension doesn’t do third-party testing yet, it feels a ton more value. Even more so because Hesperidin is an AMPK activator, too. Plus, there are other major benefits for Hesperidin, and it comes in very, very capable amounts [R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

Thus, all in all, the LCR Health Active PK is definitely not looking too hot when it comes to pricing.

I’d Say That Active PK’s Buy-Able But Only Cause I Feel I Have To

Generally speaking, I really like the Active-PK attempt from LCR Health. I mean, from what I can tell, they have created a pretty darn thoughtful product.

The thing offers a patented ingredient in amounts that have been proven effective and beneficial in at least two golden standard studies. They augment that with two ingredients that are known to improve the core one’s capacity for gains even further. Then, this is solidified by using only harmless additives and third-party testing it as well.

I Feel I Have To Call This To Be Buy-AbleAnd, yes, while the price feels quite high, there are no other supplements on the market that combine the exact same ingredients that the Active-PK does. It’s absolutely unique in that regard.

And since that is the case, (out of avoid it, consider it, shortlist it, buy it) I feel that I have no other choice but to call it a buy-able supplement as far as my recommendation. And if the price is not an issue, definitely feel free to do so.

However, if the price is something that potentially bugs you, I would highly suggest giving the Life Extension AMPK Metabolic Activator a go. And if you want to go above and beyond consider also adding Quercetin and Berberine through some standalone supplements.

And last of all, forget not. 12 weeks is what it took in those studies to see benefits. Why it should be any less for you?

Above all, I hope this LCR Health Active-PK review helped you find the information you were looking for. What is the benefit that you look most forward to? Will you opt for the supplement of this review or will you seek out those alternatives? Is this something you would love to receive as a gift? Let me know below.

  1. Matiss,

WOW. THIS IS GREAT! Of course, it is, it’s a Matiss product review. : )
Based on the research you’ve done and my wallet, I think I may purchase the Quercetin and Berberine separately.

Also as you stated, “The ActivAMP is the main ingredient to bring all the benefits whereas Quercetin and Berberine are there to augment the potential.” There is also your suggestion of an alternative brand like Life Extension AMPK Metabolic Activator or even Swanson.

All in all, such a “cool” review. I love all the “EXTRAS” that you include in your reviews: like comparison brands, price points, suggested standalone supplements, etc.

Man, this is the best website ever. Once again, Thank you for all your hard work my friend.

  2. The company does make it seem like a magic pill but I guess that’s their job. You, on the other hand, have done a fantastic job with such a comprehensive breakdown of this supplement. I definitely agree that you should take customer reviews on the product page with a grain of salt. And even if you search for reviews independent of the company. I’m always wary of customer product reviews and ratings from certain sources because I get suspicious about the company paying people to create them. But you can usually tell when someone is being sincere and this one definitely is. I think people would buy this even if the price is a bit high. I appreciated that you broke it down in detail. Thanks!

    • Hey, Nicole!

I’m sorry for not managing to get back to you sooner. I hope you’re doing great.

I absolutely agree with what you said about customer reviews. Indeed, I too think that we must be very careful about the product even when they come from seemingly third-party resources. For example, just the other day I got a spam email from a company that basically offered to get any product I chose to be ranking on the first page of Amazon when typing that keyword. Meaning, there even are companies the business model of which is to provide such a service.

But I do agree that we can usually tell when people are sincere. Still, for the bigger picture (say, if we don’t go through every single review one at a time), it nevertheless creates the impression that many products are well-received when they actually aren’t.

Above all, I appreciate the kind words.

Cheers, Nicole! Have a Great One!

  3. I bet you’ll have tons of people not being too happy with the price when this article starts really ranking. And that’s true also as far as its customer reviews. But personally, I don’t care if it’s expensive. If it’s a great supplement based on the ingredients and the quality, I don’t often look at the price. Sure, I won’t go for something that has a clearly better alternative and offers a better price. However, whenever it’s the case of being unique, something that no one else is offering, I don’t think price is that important. It has to be reasonable to some extent. But other than that, if it’s good, I’ll be paying whatever they’re asking. Just wanted to share my thoughts. Cheers.

    • Hey, Clark!

I appreciate your thoughts, man. I do also believe that could be the case. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it was.

And, yeah, I feel you; that’s a great point. As long as the price is reasonable, the product is quality, and the formulation is genuinely unique, I too think it’s always an option.

      Cheers,

  4. Great comprehensive article. I have to say, I came across this supplement the other day totally by chance. Before your review, all I basically knew was that it’s a uniquely formulated weight loss supplement. But your take on it really piqued my interest. I’ve taken a few weight loss supplements before but none of them with those exact ingredients that I know of. These actually sound great but I do agree that the price point is a bit high. I will give this some thought. Thank you.

And I can only agree. To me too, this felt like a really unique thing. And it is. There isn’t really an equivalent to it on the market.

If you do end up trying it and you get the chance, let me know how it goes. I’ll be happy to hear from you.

  5. Hi Matiss. Great work with creating such detailed and comprehensive review. To be completely fair I have never heard about LCR Health Active-PK but looking on your conclusions I think I will be interested to try. Price is quite high comparing to similar supplements I already know but at the same time I’m curious if their unique formula will give better results. Thank you for bringing this product to my attention.
