BioMor Curcumin Review – Likely Misleading In Its Claims

Initial Thoughts  |  Evidence  |  Comparison Chart  |  Core Ingredients & Benefits  |  Success Rate  |  Ranking  |  Final Thoughts  |

This BioMor Curcumin review is dedicated to diving headfirst into every single detail regarding this particular supplement.

To properly do that, we’ll first learn and explore the claims made. After which we’ll look at all of the active ingredients the supplement holds, we’ll dissect the additives, as well as we’ll look at the potential benefits. But most importantly, we’ll also dive into the science and the customer experiences through global success rates.

BioMor Curcumin Review – The Claims & Initial Thoughts

According to the manufacturer, BioMor Curcumin is a supplement patented for the best absorption of Turmeric Curcumin on the market that is also faster-acting and longer-lasting [R].

Biomor Curcumin ReviewThe description page of it really is no description page. It’s something much closer to a sale’s page that is trying to do everything humanly possible to essentially lure you into buying the supplement (much like I feel it is the case with Research Verified).

There are claims everywhere. And they repeat constantly throughout the page.

“Clinically Proven and Patented for #1 Best Absorption, No Oxalates – Safe for Kidneys, Grown Without Pesticides or Herbicides or GMOs, No Toxic Solvents, No Additives, No Pepper Extract, No Piperine, No Stearates, No “Vegetable Lubricants”, No Synthetic, No Petro-Based Curcumin, Up To 800% Greater Absorption”. And it repeats.

The sale’s page is essentially a huge regurgitation of this over and over and over again.

Then, as this wouldn’t be enough already, there are more than half a dozen supporting pages that essentially emphasize how amazing the Biomor Curcumin is, compares it to other brands (specific brands), and shows exactly how this one comes on top. And I bet all of these additional pages do an absolutely marvelous job in persuading people [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

BioMor Curcumin Reviews (On Page)

The original sale’s page supposedly also contains customer reviews. But they’re only named that way. Essentially those are face-less testimonials that approve how great the supplement is and how it has helped a bunch of people (or they could be just randomly generated by the manufacturer).

That said as regards the manufacturer – Healthy Source – positions itself as a small manufacturer that is huge on quality. In that regard though, they’re said to do all the basic stuff like employing GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). But apart from that, there’s not much else except for beautiful and careful wording [R].

No pesticides or herbicides in their products, so, why haven’t they done USDA Organic? Exceeds USP standards, so, why no USP certification seal on their supplement? The highest of quality, then why no third-party testing? (Just some food for thought.)

But as far as the supplement goes, above all, as they put it “Validated by patents and published clinical trials, BIOMOR® Curcumin is the name you can trust for the very best, highest-quality curcumin”.

Or is it?

This review is all about getting to the truth.

Insufficient & Untrackable Evidence – Is That Really How You Do It?

So, probably the most compelling claim of them all is the one claiming up to 800% greater absorption over your typical 95% curcuminoids and 637% greater bioavailability over 95%-standardized curcumin blended with piperine and lecithin.

This difference supposedly is evident by the two studies cited on the description page [R, R]

I checked out both of the studies and here’s what I came across.

So, the first chart they present, the one with which they primarily claim there’s that up 800% increase, I couldn’t find anywhere. Neither of the cited studies contains such a chart. Thus, I’ve truly no idea where they pulled that from.

As for the second study, it contains two different charts – one that compares BioMor Curcumin to plain raw Turmeric absorption and one that compares BioMor to Curcumin-Lecithin-Piperine blend (about which nothing else is indicated other than it being by Life Extension).

While both of the charts indicate Biomor’s superiority over any of the other two, both readings for the BioMor are inconsistent. I mean, in one chart it spikes up to 300-350 (concentration of curcumin in ng/g of blood) whereas in the other it spikes up to 600 (concentration of curcumin in ng/g of blood).

Moreover, this is the case with no apparent or clearly identified reason why. Because, as far as I can tell, supposedly nothing did change in the administration of the supplement (yet the results are completely different).

But regardless of that, I wouldn’t count on either of those studies as sufficient evidence that BioMor Curcumin is better than any other Curcumin out there.

First, the studies have been done only on a total number of 20 people (9+11), which from the science perspective is pretty ridiculous. And too scarce in every way.

Second, as it appears there have only been two studies to establish its superiority, one in 2008 and the other in 2011. No additional ones, to prove that point (at least they don’t cite them, plus neither could I find them) [R, R].

Which inevitably begs the question, if Biomor Curcumin is truly such an incredible break-through, why hasn’t it been studied more? With more people and through double-blind controlled studies? Why there isn’t a single meta-analysis done on this one?

I mean, two pieces of evidence – one more than 10 years old and the other 8 years old – that’s the best they can do. Is that really enough to persist on such claims?

No.

Furthermore, why does it appear that Healthy Source, this small manufacturer, is the only one interested in using this Curcumin form in their supplements? The form that is claimed to be the absolute best in the world?

Obviously I may be wrong but the lack of a clear answer to each of these questions does indicate one thing.

BioMor Curcumin is likely not as great, superior, best as Healthy Source is trying to paint them.

Which kind of brings me to my next point.

The Comparison Chart Is More Than Just Likely Heavily Misleading

One of the supporting pages of Biomor Curcumin contains a huge comparison chart. This chart compares the supplement of this review with it’s supposedly most potent specific competitors and shows supposedly how and in which ways BioMor is the better alternative.

Within this chart the supplement gets compared to the following brands: Research Verified Turmeric Curcumin, NOW Meriva Curcumin Phytosome, Smarter Curcumin C3 Reduct, VitaCost CurcuWin, 1MD Longvida Turmeric Curcumin, Turmeric Curcumin Save, Relentless Improvement CurcuWin, Source Naturals Theracurmin, and Solgar NovaSol [R].

Comparison Chart

Ultimately, what this chart concludes is that BioMor Curcumin is the best quality and value product out there.

The problem though with this is that I feel the methodology is all wrong.

Here’s what I mean.

On the original description page, Healthy Source mentions that the primary problem with Curcuminoids is the fact that they’re hard to absorb for the human body. Thus, ideally, the absorption must be improved with the help of other means.

And thus far it’s all accurate. And that’s exactly what we see many other manufacturers do and implement in their supplements.

Tricky it becomes though when we look at that comparison chart.

The comparison chart puts zero emphasis on the means of increasing absorption. Instead, it puts full emphasis on how much Curcuminoids any respective supplement contains.

But that I feel is fundamentally wrong and Healthy Source is contradicting themselves heavily.

The problem with this is that they’re essentially saying that the more Curcuminoids you can identify in a supplement the better. But that’s far from the whole truth.

Yes, it matters how much Curcuminoids a supplement has, and you could potentially compare supplements like this with each other based on how much of the compounds they contain.

However, this is only valid if every single supplement you compare goes by the same way of providing that Curcumin. Or in other words, if every single one of them uses the exact same patented or non-patented Curcumin forms.

But they don’t.

In fact, this is far from the case with the comparison chart provided by BioMor Curcumin.

We see approaches like Meriva, Longvida, C3 Complex, and a number of others. Each of these has different capabilities when it comes to their absorbability.

Thus, it doesn’t really matter how much Curcuminoids any particular one of them has. What matters is how absorbable they are and only then how much of the marvelous compounds they have.

For example, despite the chart saying that BioMor Curcumin is clearly the better alternative, I would beg to differ that something like the NOW Meriva (lower on the chart) is the more beneficial option due to how effective Meriva formulations have been proven to be. Which also outperforms the BioMor patent by quite a margin [R, R, R].

So, what’s the purpose of that chart if in essence, it’s an absolute raving?

It helps to sell.

There really is no other point of it as I see it.

Moreover, as I see it, it’s there to help lure people into buying the supplement without any real basis or proper justification.

The Ingredients In This One Are Solid Though

Despite the fact that there are legitimate concerns regarding the BioMor Curcumin integrity, the actual ingredients it contains are still solid.

BioMor Curcumin Ingredients (Supplement Facts)

The supplement provides 500 mg of Curcumin Complex that’s standardized to 95% total Curcuminoids and which additionally holds essential oils derived from Turmeric.

As for the additives, there are only two – Vegetable Cellulose and Silicon Dioxide. Both of which are some of the safest and harmless additives in existence.

Whereas when it comes to potential benefits, I can’t really deny that this combination has every reason to make them happen. In what capacity and whether or not in the full range of them, it’s a different kind of question. But the benefits, in theory, are to be there.

In that regard, Curcuminoids are known to battle cancer as well as a huge range of different ailments, including diabetes, obesity, and Alzheimer’s. They can also improve liver health, heart health, brain health, ease depression, heal pain and Arthritis, combat aging, protect against metal toxicity among other benefits [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

That said, let’s check out the reviews left by people who’ve actually tried the supplement to learn whether or not the BioMor Curcumin has worked for them.

No Idea Of Knowing The Actual Success Rates – Be Wary

Going through every single real customer review I managed to come across online, showed that the BioMor Curcumin is a rather … Well … Unreviewed supplement.

It seems to me that Healthy Source exclusively sells it only on their website (the supplement is not even available on Amazon).

So, the only customer reviews you really can find are those on their website (if anything they’re really testimonials and not reviews as they refer to them).

it inevitably begs the question why

Which isn’t really a good sign. Because it inevitably begs the question of why?

Why do they not allow people to openly discuss it on their website? Do they have something to hide?

Did they try that and it didn’t work out for them?

Or are they now enjoying that full control over what people are saying about their supplements? So, people couldn’t talk bad about it in the public space?

Hence, do they expect that people will talk bad about it?

I mean, let that sink in.

Why would they worry about any of those things if the BioMor Curcumin is truly such a breakthrough and the absolute best Curcumin form/supplement there is?

They really shouldn’t. And that’s my point.

A manufacturer so secretive about the actual customer reviews and sharing them is usually a bad sign and not someone you want to buy from.

I Would Highly Suggest Avoiding The BioMor Curcumin

BioMor Curcumin positions itself as this true and natural breakthrough in Turmeric Curcumin supplementation. It emphasizes the idea that there are no better and higher-quality supplements for this herb out there.

However, at the end of the day, I feel all they really are, are exaggerated ravings that have been put together and tailored to persuade and lure people into buying their supplement.

Sure, the ingredients of the supplement seem truly promising, and it has no harmful additives.

However, there are way too many incongruencies and distorted facts throughout the claims, as well as very limited information when it comes to real customer reviews.

I personally would never go for such a thing.

That said if you are in the market for a proper Turmeric Curcumin supplement, do check out my review for Nutrigold Turmeric Curcumin Gold (third-party tested & vegan certified). Whereas if you’re after the best, I’ve done the research. Here’s the full review of it.

Other than that, I hope this BioMor Curcumin review helped you find the information you were looking for. Was there an aspect you specifically liked with this? Is that solid enough for you to still go for it? Or would you rather pass? Let me know below.

  1. This may be true, but I can tell you from my own experience that this particular supplement has been an absolute game changer for me. I tested positive for Lyme Disease after being a medical mystery for 6 years. My finger joints were horribly swollen and I was in enormous pain in all of my joints. The Biomor Curcumin enabled me to go off of prescription anti inflammatories and reduced the joint swelling by almost 100% within 45 days. I did a therapeutic dose the first 30 days of 3 caps a day, then moved to two caps a day, and now for the last 6 years, take 1 cap a day as maintenance.

    • Hey, April!

That’s awesome to hear. And thank you for sharing your experience with it; that I sincerely appreciate.

And I must agree. I recently did some proper research on the curcumin formulation that the BioMor Curcumin uses. It uses a patented formulation more commonly known as the BCM-95. So in no way are they something unique as there are others that use this same patented formulation.

And as I came to know, the BCM-95 is actually a pretty solidly researched curcumin form, despite the fact that BioMor doesn’t seem to bother to be more thorough about it (yeah, those two studies). So given all that and despite there being a straight-out lack of customer reviews, based on the research, I’m very sure that the supplement does work.

What I’m not so keen about still is when it comes to all that is related to marketing but especially manufacturing practices. Latter of which is even more important given the recent discoveries. The discoveries that a major Turmeric manufacturer and supplier for supplement manufacturers are adding lead-laced chemical compounds to improve the harvest. But with that, making it contaminated. And potentially dangerous and detrimental to health [R].

To combat this, I feel it’s best to make sure a manufacturer ensures third-party (or at least in-house) testing. Which, by the way, more than likely BioMor does none of [R].

Hence, if you feel BCM-95 (the same active ingredient that’s present in the BioMor Curcumin) is a must, then I feel Life Extension is the much better bet. They don’t do third-party, but they sure as hell do in-house. And I’m not aware of any BCM-95 supplement that does third-party testing. But then, again, there are very capable and even more capable other options out there (even within the Life Extension brand).

Take this message if it feels appropriate. Other than that, I wish you all the best. And, again, I really appreciate you sharing your experiences, April. :)

Cheers, and have a Great One!
