Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen Review – Can It Aid The Skin?

Summary  |  Ranking  |  Marketing  |  Ingredients  |  Additives  |  Reviews  |  Pricing  |  Pros & Cons  |  Overall  |

Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen is a Grass-Fed and Pasture-Raised Collagen that can truly feed one’s inner beauty but is available at a little steep price.

It doesn’t have any additives, and it doesn’t pose any other concerns when it comes to side effects. That being said, I don’t quite like some of the marketing that they are doing.

But it’s still, generally speaking, a fine supplement despite there being obviously better ones available.

Overall, this supplement is a truly plain one in the sense that there is nothing that is particularly unique about it.

Nature's Truth Ultra Collagen Review
Summary Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen
Claimed Benefits Accurate. | It claims to improve skin health, hair health, and nails. | It has every reason to deliver.
Ingredients Very Good. | It is sourced from Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised, Non-GMO Collagen. | It has the right abundance to deliver the benefits.
Side Effects No. | It has no additives. It has no real dangers.
Quality In-house testing. | While this is not as great as third-party testing, this is still awesome enough.
Success Rate Above 88.8%. | Based on 179 reviews. | The success rate is good but it makes no sense given the poor ingredients.
Price 85.0 for every 10 grams of Bovine Collagen. | The price is not the greatest.
Ranking Nop. | While it is a really good supplement overall, it isn’t quite great enough to be placed among the very best Collagen supplements.
Recommendation Shortlist it. | Overall, this is a pretty good supplement you can feel free to go for.
Better Alternatives? Personally, I would still prefer the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides (full review with a summary).

Marketing | This Supplement Is All About Hair, Skin & Nail Health

According to the manufacturer, the sole purpose of Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen Powder is to make that beauty from within happen. Per their words, it is designed to be an absolutely easy addition to anyone’s wellness routine while also being flavor-free and odorless.

And that pretty much summarizes the whole page, apart from some benefit-related promises.

Generally, the product page loves to divide things into sections, much like we’ve seen with Landish Marine Collagen (review) or Reverse Life Collagen (review). But it isn’t marketing-heavy at all.

I mean, the product page is essentially marketing-tactics-free. Which is always refreshing to see. Basically, the only thing that we do get is a section for Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen Powder reviews by customers.

I also like the fact that they don’t go really ham on the benefit claims like some other brands do.

Instead, they are promising just all of the most typical, most basic gains there are associated with Collagen. These include improvements to hair, skin, and nail health. And yes, this does also contribute to the overall notion of having more beauty that they also mention.

Other than that, the supplement, of course, is promised to be of great quality, hence the Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised stuff. It’s also said to be Non-GMO, with zero Gluten, Dairy, Wheat, Yeast, Lactose, Soy, and a bunch of other stuff.

So, overall, a pretty nice-looking supplement that comes without an overbearing, marketing-heavy product page. But is the Ultra Collagen Powder of Nature’s Truth genuinely worthwhile?

Ingredients | Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen’s Contents Are Pretty Nice

At its core, the supplement of this review doesn’t differ much from supplements like the Bulletproof Collagen Protein (review) or Genuine Health Marine Collagen (review). It’s about that same approach of not mixing Collagen with any other stuff. Namely, it’s about offering just the protein.

So, per serving (one scoop), the Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen offers 6.7 grams of Pasture-Raised, Grass-Fed Bovine Hydrolyzed Collagen (Type I & III) peptides.

Natures Truth Ultra Collagen Ingredients (Supplement Facts)

What’s weird to me about that is that on its packaging they claim 20 grams of Collagen per daily dose. And that I believe will be very confusing for most.

I mean, if a supplement says 20 grams of Collagen, I believe that any average consumer would automatically assume that this one offers 20 grams per serving. But we actually have to have three such servings to reach that dose.

And with only 30 servings per container, that means that every container of Nature’s Truth Collagen holds only 10 days of supply.

I mean, people don’t really expect just 10 servings when they buy a container of any product, let alone Collagen.

To me, it feels like an absolute waste and somewhat of a marketing trick. Because buying a single container will absolutely feel very affordable to anyone getting it for the first time. But then, it contains a discourteously low total supply per container if 20 grams per serving is what we expect.

The Protein In This Is From Cows

Other than that, if we do ultimately stick with those three scoops a day, the Ultra Collagen will, for sure, be a very capable product. In contrast, I don’t believe a single scoop will be enough to deliver the full range of gains (at least 10 grams is the ideal amount) [RRRR].

But best-case scenario, we can definitely expect more than just benefits to hair, skin, and nail health. The supplement could also potentially positively affect joint, bone, and teeth health, boost metabolism, heal leaky gut, help with blood sugar regulation, reduce cellulite and wrinkles, as well as just have profound anti-aging benefits all and throughout [RRRRR].

Another thing is that Grass-Fed and Pasture-Raised are good. But what we also want is Hormone-Free. Because you see, even Pasture-Raised, Grass-Fed Collagen can be without Hormone-Free. But that last one is really important as well [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

Another thing that it doesn’t have is third-party testing on purity and potency. That’s kind of the ideal approach. Still, the supplement of this review does do extensive in-house testing. Which is good.

Side Effects | Are Additives A Nuisance Here? Well, They Are Not A Problem

Side effects are the product of additives. And for quite a bit of Collagen supplements, additives have been a stay and true struggling point. There are truly many examples of this.

For example, we have something like the Vim & Vigor Collagenate (review). One of its added other ingredients is Potassium Sorbate. Namely, a substance that has been shown in some high-quality studies to possess DNA-damaging effects [RRRRRRRRR].

Another example would be the Applied Nutrition Liquid Collagen (review). This one has additives like Sucralose in its formula. That’s an artificial sweetener that can have effects more devastating than sugar. To illustrate, heart disease, depression, obesity, eating disorders, cancer, and more are just some of the potential implications [RRRRRRRRRRRR].

There Are Very Many Different Additives In Existence

Nonetheless, as far as the Ultra Collagen of Nature’s Truth goes, it’s much like any decent, unflavored Collagen powder supplement.

Meaning, there are no additives at all in this one.

Which is a rather rare and pretty great thing. To elaborate, most supplements definitely can’t do without additives. And they really don’t have to as not every additive is potentially a harmful or dangerous substance to consume.

But still, it’s a nice thing to not expose our bodies to even the harmless ones when that’s not necessary.

To compare, flavored Collagen powders almost always use the means of Natural Flavoring as we’ve seen with products like the Skinny Fit Super Youth (review). Still, there are others like the Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen that take the true high road and manage to avoid flavorings to create awesome flavors still.

But either way, as far as the Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen Powder goes, it has every reason to be a safe, side-effect-free product (as far as I can tell, manufacturing also seems very decent despite somewhat paling in comparison to some other options on the market) [R, R, R, R].

Reviews | Customer Feedback Is Pretty Great, It Seems Like A Good Option

Now, we come to explore one of the marketing tactics that the supplement uses. Customer feedback.

To that end, we have only three Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen reviews on the product page. Hence, it isn’t really the most helpful source to get any insights. Kind of like what we get with the Revive Collagen (review) and Isagenix Collagen Elixir (review), too.

But that’s certainly not the case with every seller of the supplement.

Nature's Truth Ultra Collagen Reviews

In total, I managed to find 179 Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen reviews. Which isn’t a lot for a supplement that I’m pretty sure has been around for a while. Still, that’s enough to draw some general conclusions.

So, out of those 165 pieces of feedback, 20 of them were negative whereas 159 were positive. Hence, basically, for every unhappy customer, there were eight others that did enjoy the product. Namely, it’s got an 88.8% success rate.

And that’s certainly not bad given that people far more often report negative experiences than positive ones. But regardless, not everyone was delighted with the Nature’s Truth of this review.

I guess the most prominent complaint was that this wasn’t a Collagen truly tasteless and odorless. I mean, some even went as far as saying that it feels as if there’s roadkill in it. Others were unhappy with how it dissolved. And for others more, it just didn’t feel right. But for every complaint, there are those eight people that report the opposite observations.

Which, frankly, might be just a question of bad batches. Or it could be a much more deep-rooted problem in the form of fake products being sold on Amazon or poor storing conditions in the warehouses.

Either way, the positive feedback from customers said that this supplement does amazing stuff to the body.

Many people are thrilled with the results their seeing for their hair, skin, and nails. Others are happy with the fact that this one is zero taste or smell and blends easily. Others simply note that this is their favorite Collagen.

Pricing | This Nature Truth Product May Seem Cheap But It Isn’t

Pricing I feel is a very tricky thing.

I mrsn this Ultra Collagen Powder of the Nature Truth brand has every reason to appear cheap and affordable. Yet, that’s not so true when we consider that it’s only 10 servings per container considering those 20 grams of protein per day.

But I guess the real question is whether or not it compares well with how the other Collagens on the market are priced.

So, the supplement of this review comes at a typical price of $16.99. It’s said to contain 30 servings. But given that the recommended daily amount is 1-3 servings, that’s anywhere between 10 and 30 day’s-worth. So, the former would mean that it costs $1.70 per serving, whereas the latter would entail 56.6 cents per serving.

It Is Decently More Expensive Than It Seems

Hence, it varies greatly depending on the approach we would take. Still, it doesn’t change the fact that it costs 85.0 cents for every 10 grams of Bovine Collagen.

To compare that, let’s take, for example, the Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (review). It’s a supplement that typically costs $21.25 per container. Similarly to the supplement of this review, it also holds a rather low number of servings, namely, just 14. But for every 10 grams of Collagen, it’s priced at 75.9 cents.

So, that’s a good 10% less than what Nature’s Truth costs. Furthermore, not only do Vital Proteins offer Non-GMO, Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised Collagen, but also it’s third-party tested for purity. In other words, even with Vital Proteins being the rather expensive brand that it is, it still costs less and offers more quality than Nature’s Truth.

Another example to compare it with is the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides (review). This one offers everything that the Vital Proteins option offers (including third-party testing). The crucial difference is that it’s also Hormone-Free and a good fourth (over 25%) cheaper than what the Nature’s Truth costs.

I mean, sure, these are just some examples of what is available on the market. Still, I think the conclusion is a rather straightforward one.

Meaning, even though the Nature Truth Ultra Collagen Powder may seem like a truly cheap and affordable supplement superficially, it’s actually a rather expensive one. They’re just really smart in how they market it.

Pros & Cons | The Pros Of This Product Does Outweigh The Cons

Pros Cons
The supplement is Non-GMO, Grass-Fed, and Pasture-Raised. Misleading marketing in the sense that many will assume that there are 20 grams per scoop. In reality, it’s one-third of that.
They do in-house testing on purity. The Collagen in the Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen is likely not Hormone-Free.
The supplement of this review is a powder, hence it’s easy to adjust the total amount per serving as necessary for one’s own individual needs. The price does feel a little steep when compared to other more capable brands.
Success rates are fine.
The product doesn’t have any additives.

Overall | Personally, I Believe This Is A Shortlistable Collagen Supplement

Overall, I really like the Nature’s Truth approach to Collagen. It’s not the ideal product but it’s certainly decently close to that.

I Would Shortlist This Supplement

For positives, it has Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised Collagen. It has no additives. It has in-house testing. And the success rates are fine.

For negatives, the fact that they don’t attest to being Hormone-Free means that it likely isn’t. And then, to really nail the quality aspect, third-party testing would be better. And the cost is I feel a bit too much. I mean, it’s definitely a bit on the expensive side.

Hence, (out of avoid it, consider it, shortlist it, buy it) I think the Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen is worth shortlisting. Yes, it isn’t the ideal one. But I think it’s rather high up there.

That being said if you are interested in what is arguably the best one in terms of price and quality, I would recommend looking into the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides (full review with a summary) instead.

Above all, I hope this Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen review helped you find the information you were looking for. If you have any thoughts or questions, I’m here for you. And do feel free to leave your own personal reviews on the product as well.

  3. Hi Matiss

Thanks so much for sharing a good review on Nature’s Truth Ultra Collagen, as I’m currently looking for a good product to buy to help me to keep my skin, hair and nails in better conditions, one friend told me abut this product but I’m looking for more information.

It’s good to know this product is made with grass-fed, pasture raised bovines, and it provides 18 grams of protein per daily serving, that’s amazing! It will help to stay healthy to anyone as it provides the protein intake daily requirement.

It’s also easy to take as it can be added to any liquid as water, tea or juice!

You did a good job sharing great information about this product, I also like how you share your thoughts about taking 1 to 3 scoops of the product every day and if we do that, the product will only last 10 days. This is great information, do you recommend to keep it one scoop per day or 3?

    • Hey, Alejandra!

I apologize for not managing to get back to you sooner. I hope you’re doing well.

I’m glad you liked it. And I wholeheartedly appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this.

Personally, if I were to get this one for myself, I would most likely go for either two or three scoops. Altogether it will make it a much more expensive supplement in terms of a month. But I believe that’s worth it.

Cheers, and have a Great One!
