NutriCology CurcuWIN Review – Most Viably Powerful Option

This NutriCology CurcuWIN review (alternatively, Allergy Research Group CurcuWIN review) is about discussing in full detail what I believe is a very upper-echelon Turmeric Curcumin supplement.

To make that happen, we will go over its promotional materials and promises. Then, we will take a research-based in-depth look at the beneficial ingredients. This we will continue by discussing the additives and their properties. And then, we’ll turn our sights to the practical aspects of things, namely, discuss customer reviews and pricing.

One thing to note before we begin is that the supplement of this review goes by two different names. NutriCology CurcuWIN and Allergy Research Group CurcuWIN. But both of them refer to the exact same supplement (same quality, same contents, same everything). The only difference is that the former is more intended for customers whereas the latter is more about doctors (with a bit more expanded supplement line).

This NutriCology CurcuWIN Review To Provide Every Insight Ever

According to the manufacturer, the NutriCology CurcuWIN ” contains turmeric (Curcuma longa) root extract, concentrated to a minimum of 20% curcuminoids.” Per their words, it uses the UltraSOL Nutrient Delivery System which “increases relative absorption of total curcuminoids over standard curcumin by 46-times, with higher serum concentrations after 12 hours.” Furthermore, “the curcuminoids are preserved in the same profile as found naturally in turmeric.” In other words, that’s plenty of promising [R, R].

NutriCology CurcuWIN ReviewAs for the product page itself, it’s a copy of what the Allergy Research Group CurcuWIN has. Which is no wonder given and the same-ness. Overall, they’re really great.

They are quite brief, very collected, well-poised. Quite frankly, they are the opposite of what we’ve seen from products like Organixx Turmeric 3D (review).

What I also love about the page is that they do not care about marketing which is unlike supplements such as Stop Aging Now Curcumin2K (review). With Nutricology, there are no marketing tactics involved And, at least the way I see it, it implies that they are very confident about the quality they bring to the table.

This is only further emphasized by the fact that all ingredients used in the NutriCology CurcuWIN are Non-GMO, and they’ve also done third-party testing (purity, potency, safety) on the Curcumin supplement [R, R, R, RR].

Hence, so far so good. It’s looking really great. But is it actually something that is worth a while?

No Question, CurcuWIN Is The Ideal Curcumin Formulation To Get

Turmeric Curcumin is an extremely fascinating herb. But it can get terribly complex when it comes to supplements and all of the different approaches out there. I mean, we can take the 95% Curcuminoids couple that with Piperine, and just run with it. Or we can opt for an advanced, sophisticated, patented formulation like what the supplement of this review does and explore things from there.

NutriCology CurcuWIN Ingredients (Supplement Facts)So, per serving (one capsule), the Nutricology CurcuWIN offers 500 milligrams of CurcuWIN Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) (Root) Extract (min. 20% Curcuminoids).

But what does that all mean exactly?

So, it’s all about this single ingredient known as CurcuWIN. CurcuWIN is a patented Curcumin formulation which as many of its peers is capable of improving the bioavailability of Turmeric Curcumin compounds. Or, to put it in simple terms, it’s the more sophisticated version of standard Turmeric to improve its capacity for granting benefits [R, R, R].

So, if we look at a 95% Curcuminoid Turmeric extract as our baseline, the most common way of augmentation is Piperine or Black Pepper. Studies have shown this to be able to improve the absorption 20-fold [RRRRR]

But when we look at the patented formulations, many of them reach beyond that. We’ve got patented formulations like Meriva which is known to improve absorption 48 times. We’ve got stuff like BCM-95 which augments the absorption by 27 times. And then there’s Longvida, CurcuWIN, and NovaSol at 100, 136, and 185-fold increase, respectively [R, R, R, R, R, R].

With that in mind, CurcuWIN is the most powerful, viable patented Curcumin formulation currently in existence. It may not be as powerful as the NovaSol. However, NovaSol has one huge drawback. It uses a potentially very hazardous additive (Polysorbate 80) to make that superior absorption happen. Whereas CurcuWIN has none of that [RRRRRRRRRRRR].

This Is The Most Powerful Viable StuffAnd so, it might be terribly confusing as to why they themselves persist on this notion that this formulation is just 46 times more powerful than standard Curcumin. I mean, it certainly was for me too at first. But it all has to do with the study design and methods used to calculate and assess it.

Bottom line is that the number 46 is not an accurate representation of the value it is bringing in the context of the other Curcumin formulations.

And thus, a more accurate, complete, comprehensive interpretation of that same research paper suggests that it’s actually 136 times more effective than the baseline (95% Curcuminoids with no additions) [R, R, R].

Now, be it 500 milligrams (one capsule) or 1000 milligrams (two capsules) of the thing daily, it will have plenty of kicking power. And so, to that end, I think both courses of action have every reason to serve us great [RRRRR, RR].

Additives Are Really Thoughtful & Awesome With This One

But the beneficial ingredients are not the only aspect in terms of which this Nutricology Turmeric is capable. That’s also as far as the inactive ingredients go. I mean, there are plenty of supplements, including Qunol Liquid Turmeric (review), that do struggle with this aspect. But not our Nutricology slash Allergy Research Group friend. It doesn’t struggle one bit.

The Additives In This One Are Great And Harmless

So, what are the exact additives that it uses?

For the “glue” ingredients, the supplement of this review uses Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Microcrystalline Cellulose, and Silicon Dioxide.

As for the first of the three, it’s one of the safest ones. Some even suggest that it’s actually something that can grand benefits as well. Microcrystalline Cellulose is arguably the most harmless thing. It’s commonly used in trials for the placebo pills [RRR, R, R].

Whereas Silicon Dioxide is a natural compound found in our bodies, plants, water, animals, and even earth itself. It’s also studied as has no known side effects even in large amounts [RRR].

So, as far as the Nutricology CurcuWIN goes, I think it’s safe to say that it is a very mindful Turmeric supplement. The way I see it, they haven’t just done it right in terms of the beneficial ingredients. No, they’ve done it properly in terms of every ingredient in the supplement.

I Did Look Into Customer Reviews, Didn’t Find Much Though

So, from a purely theoretical standpoint, the Allergy Research Group CurcuWIN is filled with exactly the right ingredients. But what about its performance as far as the customer feedback?

Well, the product page doesn’t really give us any insight into that as it does not contain the often present review section we’ve seen on so many other products like Me First Living Turmeric Curcumin (review) or Vimerson Health Turmeric Curcumin (review). Hence, we’re just left with all else that we can scramble together across the internet.

NutriCology CurcuWIN Reviews

So, I did exactly that. I looked at every single third-party seller and retailer online who had the product listed and checked the customer feedback. Here’s what I found. But it isn’t much.

I managed to pull only 17 NutriCology CurcuWIN reviews. Of these, only one was negative. But the more concerning aspect of that comment was that it was probably a fake that was sold.

Whereas with its Allergy Research Group equivalent, we have a similar thing (and just 8 reviews total). There is one review that suggests a fake was sold. And then, there’s another one that simply didn’t feel a benefit yet. Which might be a simple matter of not sticking with the thing for long enough or consistently enough.

I mean, from what I’ve learned, it is not uncommon for the full range of benefits or benefits at all to become apparent only after about 8 weeks. Hence, there’s certainly a lot of room for error due to a lack of consistency when it comes to this category of supplements. Which is kind of true for every supplement, namely, this idea that consistency is really important [R, R].

Either way, for success rates, I think that’s too early to tell. I mean, there just aren’t enough pieces of customer feedback available yet. What we can, however, do is estimate what the probable success rate might look like.

To that end, I believe we have to leave out the potential fakes (both of which, by the way, came from Amazon) since I don’t think it would be fair to count those towards the probable success rate. Even more so because while the total review count is still low, they have a massive impact on the success percentage. Which likely doesn’t reflect the reality either.

So, to make it as realistic as we can, we have a total of 24 Nutricology and Allergy Research Group reviews. Of these, 23 are positive and just one is negative. Hence, a probable global success rate of 95.8%. Which, frankly, is likely even higher given that people are more naturally inclined to report negative experiences than they are when it comes to the positive ones.

You Would Think This NutriCology Should Be Expensive But It Isn’t

Another practical aspect that I love to look at is the pricing. To that end, one of the NutriCology CurcuWIN reviews mentioned something along the lines of this being an expensive supplement. But is that genuinely the case?

Well, per container (30 servings), the supplement of this review typically costs about $19.95. This means that per serving it prices at 66.5 cents. In other words, that’s 66.5 cents per 500 milligrams of CurcuWIN. So, how does that compare?

This One Is Actually Such Good Value For The PriceWell, it’s quite different depending on what we actually compare it to. But regardless, it compares favorably. Here’s to illustrate.

On one hand, we have the kind of standard Turmeric Curcumin supplements going for 95% Curcuminoids and coupling that with Piperine. That’s 66.7 cents per 500 milligrams for Youtheory Extra Strength (review) and 30.6 cents per 500 milligrams of NutriGold Turmeric Curcumin Gold (review).

So, while the former costs the same and the latter is about twice cheaper, none of them have the efficiency numbers quite as NutriCology does.

Meaning, for 66.7 or 30.6 cents, we get 95% Curcuminoids improved 20 fold in terms of efficiency. Now, with NutriCology, for 66.5 cents, that’s a 136-fold increase instead. So, we’re getting 6.8 times more value in the case of Youtheory or about 3 times more value comparing to NutriGold.

And it’s a similar picture if we compare the NutriCology to other CurcuWIN-proving Turmeric Curcumin supplements out there.

For example, Relentless Improvement CurcuWIN costs typically $32.95 for 60 capsules. But each of those capsules holds only 250 milligrams of CurcuWIN. Hence, it’s $1.10 per 500 milligrams of CurcuWIN or about 65% more expensive. Whereas something like the Avani Health CurcuWIN is slightly more than 25% more expensive.

So, yes, there certainly are viable alternatives but none quite as much value. Which is even more true if we take into account that NutriCology CurcuWIN has also been third-party tested to approve potency, safety, and purity.

If You’re After An Awesome Turmeric Curcumin, I Would Start With This

I’ve looked at more than 400 Turmeric Curcumin supplements. I’ve written more than 35 individual reviews on supplements of the Turmeric Curcumin category. I’ve read countless research papers and articles on Curcuminoids and various Curcumin formulations. And I’ve done some tons of searching.
This Is A Great Supplement To Go For

With all that in mind, I strongly believe that NutriCology CurcuWIN is arguably the best Turmeric Curcumin supplement currently available on the market.

It’s got what the research has shown to be an extremely capable Curcumin formulation as its main ingredient. It’s got all the harmless additives. It’s got third-party testing to approve quality. And it’s real awesome in terms of the price as well.

Hence, (out of avoid it, consider it, shortlist it, buy it) I genuinely believe this is one of the best buys we can do. Which is especially true in the context of all the potential benefits like better joint, brain, liver, heart health, diabetes-fighting, inflammation-obliterating, obesity-eradicating, cholesterol-lowering, depression-battling, anti-aging gains, and more.

  1. Hello Matiss,

Thank you so much for your reviews. Your reviews are so easy to understand and digest. I have never taken Curcumin but I’m very interested in doing that now due to a health diagnosis. This, NutriCology CurcuWIN seems to be one of the best and I’m really interested in trying.

Do you have any knowledge from doing your research on Curcumin helping Cancer? My specific cancer is Multiple Myeloma. I am so blessed from my treatments thus far to be feeling great. I no longer have bone pain in my right hip. my IgG kappa light chains are in a normal range. I will be starting a maintenance plan with lower doses and less frequent medications. With this being said, I have read some studies that Curcumin can help with cancers but are at mor of a medicinal dose to work…. 2000mg or higher. I’m not even sure if there are any specific brands of Curcumin that help in this area.

If you have come across any information regarding the above, I would be very interested in hearing about it.

Thank you and have a wonderful day

  2. Matiss. I came across your article in a search I did for info on my Spring Valley Ultra Strength Turmeric Curcumin 1500mg. I was skeptical about this supplement, but after just 2 days of taking it, I can bend over and pick things up off the floor again. No more squatting in pain. My knee pain going up and down stairs has subsided. I tried many other supplements (glucosamine, coQ10, etc,) before a friend said try Turmeric.
So here’s my question… are the more expensive supplements actually that much more beneficial?

    • Hey, David!

That’s great to hear; I’m really happy for you. But I do think that there are plenty of reasons why to not go for the absolute cheapest option there is. I mean, I’m with you on that we don’t really always need to go after what is considered the best option. But Spring Valley is just something I wouldn’t bother with personally.

First, the cheaper options typically don’t have any third-party testing as far as purity goes. Which is especially important in the context of Turmeric supplements since at least one of the major Turmeric spice producers has been caught red-handed in contaminating the produce to ensure a higher volume of harvest [R].

Meaning, if the manufacturer doesn’t test for purity, does purification, and then reassures us with third-party testing, it’s very possible that the contamination present in the produce finds its way into the supplement from where it finds its way into our bodies. And while the supplement may seem beneficial, the potential aftermath later due to the contamination can be, to the very least, unpleasant.

It’s definitely something that I wouldn’t risk or play around with.

Second, Spring Valey doesn’t really have the best track record for being honest about what kind of ingredients does its supplements actually contain. I mean, in the past, they have been found not to contain any of the herbs claimed on the label. And I mean, given the price, I’m not really surprised that they have to cut corners [R, R, R].

I mean, to some extent, it’s kind of like buying a 1970’s Ford Corolla and then expecting the performance or quality of something like the 2022’s Ford Focus. Yes, it drives and you can get from point A to B (namely, you can find benefits with just about any Turmeric Curcumin supplement) but beyond that, the two are uncomparable.

That’s kind of the vibe that I would say is the case when comparing Spring Valley Turmeric to any of the other decent ones on the market.

      Cheers,
      Matiss

  3. Dear Matiss,

I have been taking Curcuwin 500 on your advice for a while now, but I was wondering what you thought about Advanced Bionutritionals, Curcumitol-Q that contains Curcumin I, II, and III? It’s pricey, but what do you think about the importance of Curcumin III?

    Thanks so much!

  4. Thank you so much for all of your work!!! I have just started my first bottle of Curcuwin. I was curious how you would compare alcohol-based turmeric extracts with Curcuwin and the other turmeric supplements you have reviewed.

    • Hey, Moira!

Happy to help. :) And that’s great. To that end, if you get the chance, do let me know how it goes. I’d love to hear from you.

As for alcohol-based products, they typically aren’t that great. I mean, I’m yet to find a decent one. I think if I have to comment, they typically fall into one of two categories.

First, it’s just liquid Turmeric. Which is fine. But it has no means of augmenting those Curcuminoids like Black Pepper or even just a decent quality oil. Hence, effectively, a ton of money is going out the window. Because no absorption augmentation means that we have to consume a lot more Turmeric to get that same kind of positive effect.

Second, even when they do have a means of absorption-enhancing added to them, they fail in additives. It’s typically either Potassium Sorbate or some other nasty additive that really makes no sense having with our daily regimens.

If there are any alcohol-based or liquid Turmerics you would love me to look at, I’m here for you. Just let me know, Moira!

      Cheers,

      • Hi Matiss,

Thank you so much for your response! A week before I started the curcuwin, I began taking Herb Pharm Turmeric root liquid extract. I don’t know if you’re familiar with it, but I would really appreciate your take on that brand. I was having an arthritis flare up when I started taking it, and I found that taking 5 servings really did significantly reduce my pain. I was happy about that, but my reason for taking turmeric supplements is, specifically, to inhibit my tnf-a, which is what the curcumin is supposed to do.

I have psoriasis, so I’m trying to reduce overall inflammation in my body not just pain. The psoriasis prescription medicines available all inhibit tnf-a, which reduces psoriasis symptoms, but they greatly increase your risk for certain cancers. There is a lot of research that shows that curcumin is just as effective or, in some cases, more effective than those medications at inhibiting tnf-a. Through my research of different types of supplements, I came across your site. I have to say, it has been so helpful!

I had previously taken a supplement with a serving size of 3 tablets thinking I was getting 1300mg, but I looked at the bottle, after browsing your site, and realized that the actual curcumin was only 150mg. I had completely given up on turmeric supplements because I thought they didn’t work. I’m very hopeful that the curcuwin will help me. I don’t currently have arthritis pain, so I can’t gage how helpful it is for that, but, If all goes well, I should start noticing improvement in 6-12 weeks, according to the research studies I’ve read.

Thank you so much for all of your research and the time and dedication it takes to create and maintain a site like this, it is literally life saving information!

        Sincerely,
        Moira

I’m beyond grateful for the kind words. They just totally made my day. And my utmost thank you to you for recognizing the effort it takes. <3

Yeah, there are so many products on the market like that (those that offer minuscule amounts of actual curcumin). I call these the money-grabbers. Because they literally are taking the advantage of the Turmeric Curcumin hype without offering any real value in return. And thus, really just profiting and screwing over people.

I do hope that the CurcuWIN will help you see and feel the real side of Curcumin and how helpful it can be, even with your facing. To that end, I am looking forward to hearing from you in 6-12 weeks. :)

As for that Herb Pham Turmeric root, I looked it up. It seems to be a simple combination of raw Turmeric, some alcohol, and water. Which is exactly like one of those groups that I described (the first one). I like that it seems to be getting some in-house testing to the very least. And it's Non-GMO and Organic. But other than that, I'm not that fond of it.

  5. Matiss,

Are your still taking this product? How many do you take in a day? I take Nutrigold turmeric and there are major supply issues the past few months and I can’t get it without paying a huge price increase from third parties. It’s out of stock for months now and I am running out. I take 6 pills a day of Nutrigold. If I was to switch to this product how much would I take a day to get similar results? I would assume I would need less based upon your article. Thanks Donna

    • Hey, Donna!

My apologies for taking so long to respond. I’ve been really busy with my new day job.

Yes, I am still consistently taking this one. And I love it. I do feel that it makes a difference for me. Personally, I do only a single capsule daily. Which might not be enough for someone ailing with arthritis or some other chronic condition. But for me, I think it makes all the difference.

Based on the research, I think that the math works out like this. Two Nutricology CurcuWIN capsules are about the equivalent of three NutriGold Turmeric Curcumin Gold capsules. Meaning, you would have to take four capsules instead of six.

Other than that, I have gotten a bottle of Now Foods CurcuBrain (review) as I do intend to try it out when my current one of CurcuWIN runs out. It seems that Longvida is the Curcumin formulation that has the most impact on brain health (including helping memory). Which I do find fascinating. And thus, it’s definitely another option to consider.

  6. I would love to try this too but iHerb says its unavailable/discontinued what would be your recommendation as to where to get this now? I also would love to hear your thoughts on Boswella and Turmeric supplements together. Do you have any reviews on such a product?

    • Hey, Ed!

I appreciate you for writing in. I was actually really surprised that iHerb has discontinued the Nutricology option since I bought it like a week ago. But, indeed, it seems that they have discontinued it. There is good news, however.

They haven’t stopped selling the Allergy Research Group version which is actually the one I frequently buy because it’s 60 capsules instead of 30. But, as also explained in the article, that is the only difference. Namely, Nutricology = Allergy Research Group.

I fixed the link and now the button links to the exact CurcuWIN I buy.

As for Boswella and Turmeric supplements together, I haven’t really explored those yet. I can look and find a few decent ones if you’d like but I don’t think I have any individual reviews for such products yet. I mean, I have covered Boswellia in other products. Not sure if they ever came together with Turmeric.

Hmm… Wait. Come to think of it, I have done at least one. I’m pretty sure the Terry Naturally Curamin Extra Strength (review) had both Turmeric and Boswellia. Overall, I did find it to be a very, very good supplement. Have a look at that one and let me know what you think. Does this look like something that might work for you, Ed?

  7. Hey Matiss,

Just to follow up on the CurcuWIN 500. Sorry I hadn’t gotten back to you in awhile. CurcuWIN 500 may have triggered my migraines, (specifically, “cluster headaches”; a type of migraine that comes along like clockwork 2X per day for 4-8 weeks): Thus, I stopped using CurcuWIN 500.

Though it is not conclusive, and could have been a coincidence, but the pain of “Cluster Headaches” is not something I am willing to gamble with; even if the product is “superior” to Nutrigold 500mg Turmeric Extract, (which I am currently taking.). The “FLEX” by Performance Lab, may be a good alternative, since it only contains CurcuWin, 250mg. But still…not sure I am willing to risk another round of “cluster headaches” to prove a point.

The reason I mentioned my headaches: Awhile back, I use to take a certain “supermarket brand” turmeric product. Then I noticed that I would have a migraine headache later that week after digesting the product. I stopped the “supermarket brand” turmeric and headaches went away. The only noticeable difference when taking the CurcuWIN 500, is that the headaches continued, even after I stopped taking the CurcuWIN 500. If you have every had a migraine type headache, you know what I mean when I say that you would do almost anything to avoid the pain.

Well, not really a glowing review of CurcuWIN 500, but just “My Experience”. This may not be an accurate description of the product’s effectiveness. Taking CurcuWIN 500 has probably been a great product experience for most users. [Especially given your expert research. There is no flaw in your findings].

I honestly appreciate your hard work. It seems like a labor of love for you.

BTW, I thought you may have mentioned that there was a different, and more effective formulation, of turmeric that is superior to “95% standardized”, (other than the CurcuWIN 500). Did I read that on your page somewhere? If not, do you know of another turmeric formulation that I may try?

Thanks my friend. Looking forward to your expertise in this matter.

    • Hey, Joe!

Always happy to hear from you. And no worries, I’m still here. And I hope you’re doing great.

I genuinely loved the follow-up, thank you for devoting the time to let me know. :) I’m real sad about your cluster headaches though. :(

To that end, I absolutely feel you. I’m glad you stopped. And let me just say, a fascinating observation with the “supermarket brand.”

Other than that, absolutely no worries about not giving a glowing review. That’s not the point. It’s always about the truth. And I’m glad you shared that. I will take that any week of the day over the other. :)

Yes, there are a couple of great variations for Curcumin formulations actually. I would go with the Longvida next. The way I see it, while research suggests that CurcuWIN should typically be considered the more superior option, I’d say it’s almost interchangeable with the Longvida. Maybe that’s a stretch but that’s just how I see it.

For that Longvida, I would very likely simply pick the Now Foods option.

If you do end up going for it and if you get a chance, I’ll love to hear from you how it goes, Joe!

      Cheers, my man!

Man, I am so excited about the Now Foods CurcuBrain. Great suggestion. Thank you. I Always trust that your research is “spot-on”. Nurtrigold works fine for me but I am always looking to maximize my dollar with the most effective turmeric products. ( or any product for that matter).

BTW, I have taken your suggestions on using the best websites for such products. I have accounts with iHerb and Pharmaca; (already had an account with Vitamin Shoppe). Great prices, AND, lots of high-level brands. I have basically stopped using Amazon.

I will try Now Foods CurcuBrain when I run out of my Nutrigold 500mg Turmeric Extract. I will follow up after about -30-45 days of using the Now brand; (Near May or June 202, because I have a good supply of Nurturgold on hand).

I so appreciate the follow-up. I will keep in touch. Thanks again for your expertise.

Just came across your website – thanks so much for all the research you have done on which is the best product to buy – I’ve been going all over the web looking at information and all I got was confused. As you know, there are so many variables with what can be added and whether or not they are beneficial. Yeah, I don’t have to do that anymore thanks to your diligent work and my next purchase will be Curcuwin. Again, thank you for doing this lovely service for everyone.

    • Hey, Louis!

Sorry, I didn’t manage to get back to sooner. I just had to take some time off from the website; I’ve been doing it for quite a while without a real break.

I actually have done a review on that already. You can find it here.

The article, as I remember it, goes quite in detail. But to summarize it in a few words, it’s likely a terribly mediocre Turmeric Curcumin supplement. The main problem with it was it saying that it contains “1000 mg Turmeric with 95% Curcuminoids.”

This implies that not all of 1000 mg are the 95% Curcuminoids. Instead, what I believe they indicate is that there is some raw Turmeric in there and some 95% Curcuminoids extract in there (also the idea of “complex” indicates the same thing). However, we have no way of knowing for sure how much of each. Which is a bad thing.

Because for all we know, it might have 950 mg or raw Turmeric (which means 2-5% or 47.5 mg at best of Curcuminoids) and 50 mg of 95% Curcuminoids. Which is a pathetically low amount. And thus, likely won’t contribute meaningfully.

But whatever the actual amount, even if it was 950 mg of Curcuminoids, Nutricology is still the significantly better option. I mean I would pick the CurcuWIN over the Research Verified thing any time of the day, 100 times out of a 100, for sure. No question.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers,
      Matiss

  10. Hi Matiss,

This is great news. I am always looking for a product to reduce my inflammation. I take between 1000mg-1500mg, (2 to 3 vegan capsules, 500mg each), of the Nutrigold Turmeric Curcumin Gold. In your opinion, (of which I highly value), where would Nutrigold Turmeric Curcumin Gold rank on your scale vs CurcuWIN 500, (assuming CurcuWIN 500 is ranked #1)?

Not fully understanding the comparison of CurcuWIN’s 500mg Turmeric Extract, (min 20% Curcuminoids) —– vs. —–Nutrigold’s 500mg Turmeric Extract, (standardized to 95% curcuminoids), plus 2.5 BioPerine for absorption.

Is the value/ quality difference strictly in the “Formulation” of the supplements as opposed to the “Amount of Curcuminoids” present in the supplements? Hope that makes sense.

Looking to purchase the best formulation, with the maximum amount of absorbable curcuminoids present in the supplement. Plus great additives.

Either way, thanks to you, I have enough information and data to try CurcuWIN 500 for a period of time. I’ll compare its effectiveness, as much as I can, on my body. But I know most of the benefits of turmeric, ( which are many as you listed in your article), will not necessarily be felt immediately or even within 30-60 days. But I can measure its effectiveness on my inflammation in less than 30 days.

Thanks again for your diligence in your discovery of new & improved turmeric supplements. Saves me time & money. I don’t need to judge supplements strictly based on slick marketing campaigns. I just turn to Health Knight.

    TWO THUMBS UP FOR MATISS!

Thanks for your hard work. Your research improves my quality of life. Can’t really put a dollar amount on that.

PS. I am also researching a product called FLEX by Performance Lab. Contains CurcuWin, 250mg. https://www.performancelab.com/collections/core-range/products/flex. This product looks promising and may help with my inflammation issues.

    • Hey, Joe!

I’ve been taking ages to get back to people. Just had to take my thoughts off supplements for a while. I hope you’re doing really well.

So… Yes, CurcuWIN is the significantly better option. I have been myself wrong about that in the past, but it’s not all about Curcuminoids. Well, it is but it isn’t. Let me explain.

So, if we look at the most basic formulations where it is Curcuminoids plus BioPerine and nothing fancy, it’s all about how much Curcuminoids the thing has. Here the formula is 100% straight forward. The more Curcuminoids, the better. However, when it comes to the patented Curcumin formulations like CurcuWIN, it’s no longer how much Curcuminoids it has but rather how effective have they become.

Or to paraphrase, with simple formulations (Standardized 95% extracts, raw stuff, or any combination of that plus Piperine or Black Pepper), it’s about Curcuminoids. Whereas with patented formulations, it’s about the formulation and not necessarily how much Curcuminoids it carries.

Hence, from a pure effectiveness, powerfulness type of standpoint, CurcuWIN 500 mg (like the supplement of this review) is hands down the better option when compared to 500 mg of standardized 95% plus Piperine (like the Nutrigold). In fact, it should be about 6.8 times better.

And about the ending paragraphs, Joe, to say that I am beyond happy hearing that, would be to undersell it. I can’t really begin to express how invigorating and uplifting your words are. The testament that the work with Health Knight really matters and that it’s not all just for nothing. Thank you. <3

      Cheers, my friend!

      P. S. That Performance Lab thing looks pretty dope. Will do a full review on it when I get the chance. :)

      • Well I’d say that “You’ve NOT been wrong about that in the past”. Like all of us, you are always learning and making the best decisions based on the most “accurate” information available.

        In the beginning there was
No Earth, “Without form and void”, (Genesis 1:1-2)
        Then a Flat earth,
        Then a Round earth,
        Then a Spherical earth

        Yesterday, Standerized 95%
        Today, CurcuWin
        Tomorrow, __________?

So you are in good hands Matiss : ). I wouldn’t worry. I think you have been right.

You swept me off my feet, haha. Such wise words, my friend.

Thank you for sharing that. It made my day like at least twice. The perks of not getting back to people immediately. :)

  11. CurcuWIN is next on my list to try, after one month of Longvida, and currently 10 days into a Meriva bottle. Going 500mg “of the stuff” daily which is probably too few. The brand of Meriva I’m using is Doctors Best and has 60 caps (for a decent price within the EU) so I may double the dosage along the way – who knows?
CurcuWIN is sold only by them afaik and the cheapest one was around 50€ for a 60c bottle, unless I import it from the US. Still, I wanna try it soon.

Uuu-uu, after your trials, if you get a chance, let me know what you end up thinking what the best is. :)

This actually isn’t sold only by them. Relentless Improvement one of the other better ones. GreenIVe has one. Carlson has one. BioTrust has one. Natrol offers one. RxVitamins has something. Mt. Angel Vitamins has one. And these are just the ones that I’m aware of.

And yeah, they’re overpricing it in the EU, for sure.

Cheers, and have an Awesome Day!

    • Hey, George!

I appreciate you bringing my attention to it. :)
Seems like something definitely worth exploring.

Still, I wouldn’t say it outrivals the Nutricology CurcuWin one bit. Far from it, the way I see it.

      Cheers, and Take Care!

Do you believe that Curcuwin is better than LongVida and Meriva formulations also?

  13. Hi Matiss!

You convinced me! After almost 4 month of researching for a good curcumin supplement, I decided to try this one that you recommend. This one is near the top of my list with the sale price on your link and assuming that 136X biofactor. When I ordered several days ago, the price was almost half off on iHerb ($18.14) from your link, so I decided to get 2 in case the sale was short-lived. Good thing too, ha! It looks like since my order a couple of days ago, the price from your link went back up to $30.24. Now that’s timing! Take care,

    Don
