Olly Undeniable Beauty Review – Best Skin Gummies Ever?

Marketing  |  Ingredients  |  Side Effects  |  Reviews  |  Pricing  |  Pros & Cons  |  Overall  |

According to the Olly Undeniable Beauty reviews posted by customers, this thing has been life-changing.

Many report huge improvements in their skin health. Others emphasize how this has made their hair not only longer, but also stronger and shinier. Others noted gains to nail health and the pleasant taste. And, just in general, many people were truly impressed and amazed with how much the supplement helped.

So, in this Olly Undeniable Beauty review, we’ll master this thing. Meaning, I will strive to provide every and all relevant detail regarding it.

Hence, the idea is to be no extension of the manufacturer’s marketing or other similar nonsense. This is all going to be about what I feel is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. And we’ll do that in assessing for marketing, ingredients, side effects (additives), customer feedback, and pricing. We’ll do it the truth-seeking way.

Marketing | It’s A Classic Olly As Far As Marketing Side Of Things Goes

According to the manufacturer, the Olly Undeniable Beauty is “the perfect blend of active ingredients to help keep your hair and nails in tip-top shape, and you shining bright.” Per their words, it is “designed to support the body’s natural production of keratin which contributes to healthy hair, skin & nails from within.” So, it’s awesome, healthy, and tasty [R].

Olly Undeniable Beauty ReviewThe product page itself is a classic Olly. And it’s rather brief and concise overall like the Pure Encapsulations Collagen JS (review).

As for marketing, there are plenty of all kinds of strategies. It offers a 15% discount on orders subscribe to. It’s got free shipping and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Also, they promote similar products that pair well with this.

They even have a section for the Olly Undeniable Beauty reviews which is more like a section of testimonials. Because they’re very positive.

As for benefits, the main ones associated with the supplement are benefits to hair, skin, and nail health. Whereas the idea they’re promoting is that it’s a thing that works from within. And so, we consume it, and we get the skin benefits and all the other stuff on the outer.

The Undeniable Beauty is said to be Gluten-Free, Artificial-Flavors-Free, and Artificial-Colors-Free. On that note, it is, however, made in a facility that produces products with soy, eggs, milk, fish, tree nuts, shellfish, and wheat. It also holds an NSF Certification.

Plus, I have said this before and I still believe that Olly probably creates the best-looking containers of all. But is there true value behind their looks?

Ingredients | Awesome Core Substances But In Puny Amounts

Benefits to hair, skin, and nail health can be achieved in a variety of different ways. One option is to really get on a Biotin wagon like with the Natrol Biotin 5000 Mcg (review). Another one would be to do it with Collagen like Natural Elements Multi Collagen (review). And another one is definitely through Keratin. The supplement of this review uses the first and the last.

Olly Undeniable Beauty IngredientsSo, per serving (two gummies), the Olly Undeniable Beauty offers 15 milligrams of vitamin C, 7.5 milligrams of vitamin E, 2,500 micrograms of Biotin, and 50 milligrams of Keratin. Thus, here’s a little analysis in context with their marketing to elaborate on all that.

They imply that vitamin C is one of the key nutrients due to its role in Collagen production. Yet, they provide only 15 milligrams of it. Not only that’s more than 5 times below the minimal daily requirements that the 100% Daily Values are, but also it’s just ridiculously low to imply any actual benefits.

I mean, I would even go as far as to say that it’s quite a laughable amount considering the best practices for daily nutrient amounts.

The same goes for vitamin E. Granted, it’s not listed as one of the key ingredients in the supplement; it’s likely there to help preserve freshness and improve shelf life. Still, for anyone seeing it as an advantage of the supplement, it’s really not. 50% of Daily Value is rather low, to say the least. Furthermore, any self-respecting multivitamin will offer way more.

As surprising as it may be for some, as I see it in this configuration, the Biotin (vitamin B7) is not perfectly ideal either. I mean, yes, don’t get me wrong, 2,500 micrograms of Biotin is a decent amount and it for sure can bring benefits to hair, skin, and nails. However, for a hair-skin-nails-oriented supplement that pretty much doesn’t offer anything else in meaningful amounts, that’s definitely not a lot [R, R, R, R, R].

Eggs Are A Great Source Of KeratinTo illustrate, other Biotin-oriented products commonly go with twice or four times the amount. The Solgar Biotin (review) and Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails (review) are just some of very many examples of this.

Now, back to why I made that note about meaningful amounts. It’s because that last ingredient, that Keratin (naturally found in eggs and other foods) thing, is a pretty scarce one as well (the main ingredient). Here’s why.

Any proper self-respecting Keratin supplement typically offers 250-500 milligrams of the substance. To compare, the Olly Undeniable Beauty provides only 50 milligrams. That’s 5-10 times less. Which at least for me, makes it doubtful that there can be something to truly gain here. I feel, at best, any benefits to hair due to the presence of this will be very limited [R, R, R, R, R, R].

But here’s one thing that is properly awesome about the Olly Undeniable Beauty. It’s NSF Contents Certified. Meaning, it’s third-party tested to ensure purity and potency. Which is just a testament to the great manufacturing quality that Olly subscribes to. And that’s a really good thing [R].

Side Effects | To Review Additives, Olly Undeniable Beauty Is A Disaster

Side effects are the product of additives. Hence, this wouldn’t be a proper review of the Olly Undeniable Beauty if we were not to look at that extended list of ingredients. Which is where the additives hide. And not a lot of people are typically willing to explore them.

I mean, is that out of ignorance or negligence; it doesn’t really matter. Because the other ingredients, commonly known as additives, have the capacity to undermine our health, no matter how little their amounts may relatively seem [R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

Sugar Is Not Healthy Just Because It Is Of Sugar BeetBut when it comes to the supplement of this review, that’s not even the case. Here’s what I mean.

The first two ingredients of the additive list are Glucose Syrup and Beet Sugar.

This indicates that these two ingredients outweigh any other ingredients in this product in regards to the raw total mass (given the FDA regulations that stipulate that manufacturers have to list ingredients in order starting from the heaviest by total mass) [R].

Thus, there’s at least twice the amount of sugar than there’s of any other ingredient in the supplement. Which may still not give the full picture. But let’s get to that.

So, as they state on the label, there are 2 grams or 2000 milligrams of sugar per serving. Whereas combining 15 milligrams of vitamin C, 7.5 milligrams of vitamin E, 2,500 micrograms (or 2.5 milligrams) of vitamin B7, and 50 milligrams of Keratin, we get to a total amount of nutrients that’s precisely 75 milligrams.

Now, compare that to the 2000 milligrams of sugar. That’s 26.7 times more. Or to put it in other words, for every 1 milligram of nutrients we are getting 26.7 milligrams of sugar (or the equivalent of about 96% additives and 4% beneficial ingredients).

I mean, one can’t possibly create a bad-tasting supplement with such a formula.

Plus, given the alternate names of High-Fructose Corn Syrup, Glucose Syrup may actually be that thing. A substance known to cause heart disease, obesity, weight gain, diabetes, cancer, liver disease, depression, leaky gut, and a long list of other problems. Then, there’s also that Beet Sugar that only further adds to this notion. It might not be as bad but still [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

Citrus Fruits Do Hold Natural Citric AcidThen, there’s also Citric Acid that under certain conditions can cause extra problems (despite naturally being found in citrus fruits). And here one of those conditions seems to be very present.

Meaning, Olly doesn’t claim to be Non-GMO. And thus, Citric Acid is probably GMO. And so, it can bring side effects like muscular pain, stomach aches, shortness of breath, joint pain, stiffness, swelling, and weaker immune system among others [RRRR].

Other than that, it can also be problematic in the context of Aluminum. Meaning, it improves the absorption of this element which is something that can lead to cancer and similarly dire consequences. Furthermore, having too much of it in our diet (many foods use it) can bring its own set of challenges [RRRRRRRRRRRR].

And then, I bet some may be wondering whether that NSF certification removes all of these dangers?

No, NSF certification does not turn inherently harmful substances into harmless ones. All they basically do is test the existing ingredients for contaminants, admixtures, how much there is, and whether the supplement is not rancid; the inherent harmfulness of certain ingredients (like in this case) is, by no means, removed [R].

Reviews | Customer Feedback Is Obviously Very Good Which Was Expected

Usually, this is a great section for giving a more comprehensive look at how the supplement performs. Meaning, to assess how well people think that it has served them and such. But given the weak active ingredients and even weaker other ones with this Olly, this really is just a section for fun.

And surprise, surprise? According to the Olly Undeniable Beauty reviews on the manufacturer’s website, it’s a truly well-received one. It’s got 43 negatives (one-star, two-star) ratings versus 627 positive ones (three-star, four-star, five-star). Which means that supposedly the global success rate is sitting at 93.6%.

Olly Undeniable Beauty ReviewsWhich actually isn’t all that high given that it’s the manufacturer’s page. I mean, just look at something like the Sanar Collagen Wrinkle Formula (review) or Nutra Organics Collagen (review) where there basically is no bad feedback.

But regardless of that, we do have to look into what the third-party sellers and retailers are saying. And so, I did.

In total, I managed to find 2,842 Olly Undeniable Beauty reviews. Of these, 2,375 were positive and 467 were negative. Which gives us a success rate of 83.6%. Which is actually lower than I expected.

I mean, high enough but definitely lower than I expected. Here’s to elaborate a bit.

Gummy vitamins, just in general, are extremely tricky when it comes to customer feedback. That’s because people are typically too focused on how it tastes with their comments and not so much how that taste is achieved exactly or even the benefits.

So, there’s typically a lot of happy people when there really shouldn’t be. And due to the additives, I believe personally that the same case is also here.

Still, if we detach from that and just look objectively at the bad ratings, here’s what we find.

The two most predominant complaints are horrible taste and it causing allergic reactions, most often in the form of skin break out or making acne worse. Then, there are others that experience no benefits at all. Whereas others are certain that the product we can buy on Amazon is fake and not actually the real thing.

Pricing | In Terms Of Price, It’s Overrated & We’re Paying For Nothing

As I explored the Olly Undeniable Beauty reviews, I did not really see anyone complaining about the price. For some, this might mean that the product is priced very reasonably and is otherwise a fair deal. But is that genuinely the case?

So, per container (60 gummies), the supplement of this review typically costs $13.99. That’s $0.47 for a serving. Or to make it more easily comparable with other products, that’s the equivalent of 93.2 cents for every 5,000 micrograms of Biotin and 100 milligrams of Keratin.

It Is Actually Not That Good PricedAnd, frankly, the picture is not looking too hot for the Olly.

Compare that to something like the Mason Natural Biotin Plus Keratin. The latter typically costs $12.33 for a container of 60 tablets. To do the math, that’s 20.6 cents for 10,000 micrograms of Biotin and 100 milligrams of Keratin.

So, it’s twice the amount of Biotin and the same amount of Keratin, yet still, it’s about five times less expensive.

Yes, Mason Natural also doesn’t offer the best of additives. But it is in-house tested. And while that’s not as optimal as third-party testing, the five-fold increase for this category of supplement is not worth it, for sure.

And here’s another way to look at it. Here are one decent Keratin supplement (Doctor’s Best Hydrolyzed Keratin) and one decent Biotin supplement (Now Foods Biotin 5,000 Mcg). The former offers 500 milligrams of Keratin and costs 6.5 cents for every 100 milligrams of Keratin. And the latter offers 5,000 micrograms of Biotin and costs 7.5 cents for every 5,000 micrograms of Biotin.

So, the combined cost of them is 14.0 cents when Olly offers the same but likely with GMO ingredients at 93.2 cents. Which is like a 6000% increase in price with worse off additives but NSF certification for purity. I mean, it’s just not worth it.

To me, it feels like we are overpaying for sugar with the supplement of this review. I mean, the beneficial contents we can get for so much less with other products on the market. And then, if you have to, there’s plenty of money to spare for the addition of your favorite candy, chocolate, or another form of sweets.

Pros & Cons | This Supplement Doesn’t Have Much For Positives

Pros Cons
Olly is third-party tested for purity and potency by NSF. Generally, it’s very low on beneficial ingredients (except Biotin).
It’s tasty. It’s 26.7-fold the sugar for every milligram of nutrients.
Olly Undeniable Beauty likely contains GMO ingredients.
The supplement is quite expensive.
It uses not the greatest of additives. Side effects are possible.

Overall | Beauty Is Not Undeniable & It’s Quite Miserable Actually

All in all, I definitely can’t say that I’m a fan of this Olly Undeniable Beauty supplement thing. I mean, it has its good bits but overall, it feels to me that it’s somewhat pretty non-sensical as an option.

I mean, for positives, it has really good manufacturing practices and third-party certification to attest to that. Plus, the promotional materials are quite nice, and the product itself is a pretty visually appealing one. Furthermore, it has okay success rates and a 30-day money-back guarantee which will likely get quite many over the fence of buying it.

I Do Not Like This Keratin SupplementBut for negatives, the NSF certification does not remove any of the dangers and potential side effects created by additives. And then, when it comes to the price, it’s just a ridiculously overpriced one for the beneficial nutrients we get.

And then, to make matters worse, the pure lack of proper beneficial ingredient amounts is just rubbish. I would say that it can be very limited in its benefits at best. There’s just not enough of the good stuff. And still, it’s pricey.

Hence, (out of avoid it, consider it, shortlist it, buy it) I would recommend avoiding it.

On that note, there are some very capable hair, skin, nail improving supplements out there. Personally, Keratin and Biotin combination wouldn’t be my first choice. My first choice would be Collagen like what we get in the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides (full review with a summary).

Above all, I hope this Olly Undeniable Beauty review helped you find the information you were looking for. If you have any thoughts or questions, I’m all here for you. And do feel free to leave your own personal reviews on the product as well.

  1. I am so glad I found this review! I am trying to take supplements to feel better, be healthier, and have more energy, not have a bunch of terrible side effects! There is nothing worse than to be surprised by side effects when all your trying to do is become more healthy and alive.

I love how you included so many sources, this could pass as a college paper on this product. You are doing the public a great service by reviewing this product and highlighting the many harmful ingredients included. I do not understand how companies can get away with making such a terrible product and then attempt to pass it off as a “health” supplement!

Your website is a valuable resource for those of us who are attempting to become healthier without getting financially and physically harmed by awful and unsafe products. Thank you for all your work, Matiss.

    • Hey, Randi!

I 100% agree with that. I too take supplements to facilitate my health and not to burden it. But these days we really have to be careful with picking ours. I mean, there are all kinds of companies out there that feels to me like they are there just to make a buck. In other words, companies 100% focused and invested in making profits instead of actually helping people. And that’s the danger.

I think that’s a really great rhetorical question. Why do they pass them off as “health” supplements? Why do they choose those ingredients? (Tasty easily sells? Profits to captivating?)

I really appreciate the kind words. They truly mean a lot. I really am trying to put my best foot forward to make sure everything is accurate and everything has its scientific basis. And it means the world to me that people also recognize that. Thank you for letting me know. I’m very grateful. :)

  2. Hi Matiss,

Another low-quality product pointed out by you! ^_^. Sugar is really bad for your skin so no wonder there are skin reactions to the product. Nowadays, people need to be more careful in choosing and buying things for their health. You just can not rely on the marketing or ads which are obviously made in favor of the manufacturer!

Those always focus on the good sides and completely try to hide away any negatives. And while that is the consensus as to how marketing and ads should be done, I don’t think that’s being 100% honest. There is just something really captivating about a company that doesn’t hide away from its flaws but is very transparent about them.

For that reason, I am personally far more comfortable with buying from a company that isn’t afraid of displaying its flaws. Still, they have to be justifiable. Not the case with the Olly Undeniable Beauty. At least that’s how I see it.

    Cheers,

    Grace

Yeah, I couldn’t agree more. It’s something that I didn’t actually explore in the article but sugar can, for sure, have a negative effect on the skin. I know that I myself do happen to have that issue (for example, if I junk out with sweets on any given day, my skin tends to be terrible the next one or a day after that). I have observed that same thing to be true for my wife and other people as well.

Thus, it’s actually extremely interesting as to why they are conforming to simply adding sugar for a skin-health-oriented supplement. It feels to me genuinely counter-productive. I mean, what’s the point of trying to improve our skin health if we’re having it together with other substances that can have the opposite effect.

The way I see it, that’s kind of like saying, “I want skin-related gains but I don’t really want them.”

And that’s 100% true. If we truly care for our health, there is no way around it. We have to be very careful and mindful about what kind of products are we getting. Because often even when they are marketed as healthy and helpful, they aren’t pure in that way if it makes sense.

Meaning, yes, they’re kind of helpful. But then, they also aren’t, and they are counter-productive. Which is exactly like the Olly of this review.

And, indeed, transparency is everything these days.

      Cheers,
      Matiss

  3. Hey there! Thanks for this very indepth review. I am skin care obsessed and found the information both interesting and informative. I have been looking into Olly Vitamins in general including this one for skin & have come to the same conclusion that they do not hold as much nutrients for the price they’re asking for. In other words the cost to value is way too high for my liking as well. What healthy vitamin do you recommend for skin/beauty? I haven’t found one that I like so far and hope you have some recommendations. Look forward to it! Thanks again.

    • Hey, Marlinda!

I’m thrilled to hear that this was insightful. And thank you for letting me know. :)

Yeah, and I think that’s true for almost all Olly products. I mean, I’ve looked at a couple of them, and an overarching trend is that they typically ask way more money for the same nutrients that other brands also offer. Which would, to some extent, make sense if Olly was this huge, well-renowned, well-received supplement manufacturer.

But I, for sure, wouldn’t call it that.

For skin and beauty, my primary recommendation is Collagen. I mean, other helpful substances do exist. But none do it quite as Collagen does. Plus, it imitates what our bodies are naturally doing anyway. So, personally, I think that’s the ideal way if you’re looking for something orally consumable.

Here’s my favorite product when it comes to the category (full review with a summary).

  4. Thank you for cutting through the “manufacturer’s marketing and other similar nonsense.” It can be so hard to find straight facts without a bunch of hype! Sugar almost always affects my skin in negative ways, and if I’m going to ingest it, I’m going to want to have a cookie or something really enjoyable.

After reading through your detailed analysis, I agree with you, Olly Undeniable Beauty is not the best overall choice to get results.

    • Hey, Aly!

Indeed, I couldn’t agree more. There is a ton of hype with just about any product. I mean, some certainly have it more than the others but we can always find someone ecstatic with any given supplement, no matter how bad the supplement actually is. Which I believe is why the reviews that I do should be pretty helpful.

And I definitely agree with you on that one. I too would recommend to rather have a decent supplement and then a cookie if you have to. Don’t do the kind of mixed version of that. As is the case also with this supplement, the mixed version of things is just not that good. Yes, we’re left with one product but it is bad as far as benefits and suboptimal as far as sweets. Better have it separately and then make sure that they are both great (one for your health, the other for your taste).

For sure, this Olly is terrible if one’s after real, thorough benefits. At least that’s my two cents.

      Cheers,

  5. Thank You for sharing. I got really excited when I read it makes your hair not only longer but also stronger and shinier.

I always wanted long hair it just grows so slowly and breaks.

I also like that it improves your nail health mine always brake and I waste my money on getting them done.

I have heard of keratin before but did not know what it was.

I also like the 15% discount and the 30-day money-back guarantee is a bonus.

It is also great that it has other vitamins as well like vitamin E and C which also benefit the health.

I have one question is the product safe for diabetics?

I have learnt a lot of things I did not know before from your Blog.

Yes, Keratin and Biotin supplements can have that effect. And I absolutely feel you. And I’m glad this proved insightful. :)

As for being safe for diabetics, I don’t think it is. Given that this potentially contains High-Fructose Corn Syrup or a similarly hazardous sugar form, I don’t think it’s safe for anyone but especially diabetics.

      I hope that helps!

  6. When it comes to taking supplements such as Olly, I have to really research & consult with my physician due to diabetes. This is how I came about your review, as have heard some great things about it and how made the hair longer and healthier looking. The sugary effect might keep me from being able to use this product, still going to consult with my physician. I found your detailed review very helpful, as most reviews I have come across are more of a sales pitch.

I feel you. And no worries, there truly are plenty of great products such as this one out there that don’t have any sugar ingredients.

And I 100% agree with that. I myself have read a bunch of reviews like that. They’re, to some extent, just an extension of the manufacturer’s marketing. Which isn’t ideal for anyone who’s looking for unbiased truth.
