Vim & Vigor Collagenate Review – Give It A Hard Pass

|  Marketing  |  Ingredients  |  Side Effects  |  Reviews  |  Pricing  |  Pros & Cons  |  Overall  |

According to the Vim & Vigor Collagenate reviews posted by customers, it has been incredible in terms of weight loss. Many people are ecstatic about how much weight they have lost. Others emphasize joint-related gains and various skin health improvements. Others more report their hair and nails being stronger and healthier.

So, in this Vim & Vigor Collagenate review, we will dive deep into everything that the supplement is and all that it has to offer.

Hence, the idea is to be no extension of the manufacturer’s marketing or other similar nonsense. This is all going to be about what I feel is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. And we’ll do that in assessing for marketing, ingredients, side effects (additives), customer feedback, and pricing. We’ll do it the truth-seeking way.

Marketing | It’s A Nightmare As Far As The Vim & Vigor’s Product Page

According to the manufacturer, the Vim & Vigor Collagenate “is a specially formulated liquid collagen supplement.” Per their words, the Collagen in this is “uniquely processed and then combined with an organically grown, cold-processed Aloe Vera to produce a high quality, bio-available protein supplement called Collagenate.” So, it sounds decently cool [R].

As for the product, I think it’s a disaster. First, it looks like something out of the 80s or 90s TV commercial. To that end, it is easily the worst-looking Collagen supplement product page I’ve ever come across. There are often paragraphs where there should be; the text changes sizes without any apparent reason; the text is colored in some 5 different ways. Namely, readability is a disaster.

Vim Vigor Collagenate Review

Second, it’s kind of lengthy and overwhelming like those of the Truvani Marine Collagen (review) and Andrew Lessman Marine Collagen (review). Plus, it has all these supporting pages with testimonials and everything.

Speaking of testimonials, they do have a few marketing tricks up their sleeve.

So, we get a 60-day money-back guarantee on this one. Then, there’s also an option to get a 20% discount if we order four months of supply. And then, while there is no section for Vim & Vigor Collagenate reviews by customers, testimonials make more than up for it.

As for the benefits, they promise quite a few. Yes, they do put emphasis on benefits to joint, hair, nail, skin, and muscle health. But on top of that, we are also promised that this will help us lose weight.

As for the free-of claims, the Vim & Vigor Collagenate is said to be Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Sugar-Free, Fish-Free, Fat-Free, Common-Allergens-Free, Laxatives-Free, and more.

Thus, while the product page feels to me like a bad circus act, there might be something in this supplement. But is it worth the investment?

Ingredients | I Believe This Isn’t Great For A Collagen Supplement

These days all kinds of different Collagen products exist. Very many do it in the form of powders like the Bulletproof Collagen Protein (review). Others make it easy to ingest with capsules or tablets like the Doctor’s Best Collagen (review). Others more default to liquids like the Reverse Life Collagen (review). The Vim & Vigor Collagenate is a liquid.

Vim & Vigor Collagenate Ingredients (Supplement Facts)So, per serving (one tablespoon), the supplement of this review offers 3.5 grams or 3,500 milligrams of Collagen and 8 grams or 8,000 milligrams of a Proprietary Blend. The latter consists of Organically Grown Aloe Vera Leaf Juice and Stevia Leaf extract. Here’s to elaborate on that.

Before that, let me just acknowledge the fact that Vim & Vigor has dumped their previous approach of not disclosing beneficial ingredients. Which, personally, I’m very happy for. Good stuff. So, what do the ingredients mean?

Let’s start with Collagen. I found in the FAQ section that they source it from cows. But nothing else was mentioned there. Namely, what’s important is that the cows are Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised, and Hormone-Free. Otherwise, the contents are just not going to be that beneficial. But the supplement of this review doesn’t have that [RRRRRRRRR].

Another problem with the Vim & Vigor Collagenate’s Collagen aspect is that there’s not enough of it for the full range of benefits. I mean, 3.5 grams may sound like a decent amount for some people but we really need at least 10 grams. Hence, some of their promised gains are possible. But they will likely be limited [RRRRRRRRR].

Then, the third aspect of Collagen is third-party testing or at least in-house testing. The supplement of this review doesn’t have that. Neither. Frankly, I have no idea what its quality is like because they don’t really share that information at all. Hence, we’re kind of in the dark. And that’s not a good sign for quality.

This Product Is In Part All About Aloe Vera

As for the Organically Grown Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, the organic part sounds nice. The amounts I think also seem to be quite decent.

Thus, it has the potential to improve digestive health, support skin health, lower blood sugar levels and blood pressure, provide heartburn relief, foster mouth health, as well as possess antioxidant and antibacterial properties among other things [R, R, R, R, R].

Lastly, as for the Stevia extract, it’s a natural and actually a healthy sweetener. I don’t think it will contribute to any real gains since it’s likely in the blend purely for the purpose of sweetening it. And it would make more sense to include it in the additive list. But it is what it is [RRRRR].

What I don’t really get is this huge emphasis on the weight loss aspect for the Vim & Vigor Collagenate supplement.

I mean, sure, both Collagen and Aloe Vera have the capacity to improve digestive health. To that end, if poor digestive health was the primary culprit for our weight, this may then actually help. But that is not the case, then I seriously doubt that.

I mean, this will certainly not make the weight loss thing effortless. It can be a facilitator of some sort but even then I think there are better options to choose from.

Side Effects | To Review Additives, Side Effects Are Quite Likely

Side effects are typically the product of additives. But the Collagenate of Vim & Vigor is not great when it comes to those. Additives are the ingredients that help keep all of the nutrients together and ensure a specific delivery form (among potentially other things like color, taste, dissolving mechanism, and more).

Natural Flavors Do Not Guarantee Healthy

In this particular supplement, we have Purified water, Natural Fruit Flavors, Citric Acid, Potassium Benzoate, and Potassium Sorbate to do that.

Which if I think about it, does remind me of the NeoCell Liquid Collagen (review), only the supplement of this review is without sugar. Which, generally speaking, is a good thing. But it would still not be good enough overall as far as additives.

First, there are those Natural Fruit Flavors.

The harmlessness or harmfulness of these highly depends on the actual manufacturing practices in place. Which in the case of the Collagenate is not promising at all. I mean, it’s all self-proclaimed, vague, generalistic statements with no third-party certifications or laboratories to approve anything of it [RRRRRR].

Which can mean admixtures and contaminants that can translate into a wide range of negative and unpredictable health effects. Not exactly ideal, to say the least [RRRRRR].

Second, there’s Citric Acid. It’s, generally speaking, a fine additive. That is unless it’s a GMO, which in this case it probably is (because they mention just about every other contains-none-of thing there is apart from this one). Plus, Citric Acid also can improve aluminum absorption which isn’t good. And then, Citric Acid is also harmful if consumed abundantly (a common ingredient in processed foods) [RR, RRRRRRRRRR].

Citric Acid Is Naturally Found In Citrus FruitsThe fact that it’s likely GMO can result in joint pain (ironic), swelling, stiffness, stomach aches, muscular pain, shortness of breath, weaker immune system, and more. As far as the other two aspects, those are avoidable if we don’t consume the Collagenate out of aluminum containers, and we avoid having too much Citric Acid from the processed foods we eat daily [RRRR].

Third, there’s Potassium Sorbate. Various opinions exist on this one. What I feel is impossible to deny though are the studies that have shown that this thing damages white blood cells. This in turn damages gene information which in turn takes its toll on genes themselves which can then lead to mutations. Which can mean cancer or DNA damage among other things. Plus, there are other concerns with this as well [RRRRRRRRR].

Overall, I wouldn’t say that it’s smooth sailing with the supplement of this review. I mean, sure, it could be worse. There could be High-Fructose Corn Syrup in it. But it isn’t ideal either.

Reviews | Per Customer Reviews, It Only Has Like A 60% Success Rate

Going a step further, we have customer feedback and global success rates. Their product page doesn’t really offer any. I mean, there are quite a number of testimonials that all praise the thing. But that’s not exactly what we’re after.

So, given that their page contains no Vim & Vigor Collagenate reviews, I conducted online research as thoroughly as possibly could in an effort to find every single real customer review out there. And I actually expected it to have a somewhat high success rate as it has been with suboptimal products like the LAC Taut Collagen (review) or RejuviCare Super Collagen (review). But that wasn’t the case.

Vim Vigor Collagenate ReviewsIt turns out there is only an exact number of 18 customer ratings with comments for this supplement. And a bit less than half of them are bad.

Or to be more specific, I found 9 five-star reviews, 2 four-star ones, no three-star ones, none two-star, and 7 one-star ones.

Hence, about as many one-star Vim & Vigor Collagenate customer reviews as five-star ones. Which usually isn’t a good sign.

All in all, considering all of the feedback, the global success rate is 61.1%. Which is extremely low. One of the lowest ones I’ve seen for any supplement, not just Collagen ones.

Granted, it’s quite early to tell, if this is a success rate that will stick because there just isn’t enough feedback on it yet. But given how it’s going, I wouldn’t be surprised if there won’t ever be. Either way, it’s not looking promising at all.

I mean, I wouldn’t ever pick this to reach my weight loss goals, for sure. Plus, basically, every negative comment perpetuated exactly that. The supplement did nothing for them. At all. Whereas some even went as far as to say that they feel cheated out of their money. And then, there was also a person who encountered side effects.

Pricing | All Things Considered, It, Indeed, Kind Of Feels Like A Rip-Off

When it comes to pricing, I didn’t exactly encounter Vim & Vigor Collagenate reviews that complained about the aspect of the product (apart from people saying that it’s a waste of money). Still, I wouldn’t say that’s enough to conclude that it’s fairly priced. It certainly doesn’t seem on the surface.

So, we’ve got what I assume typically is $57.00 per bottle. Which based on the information on the product page seems to be the price for 30 servings (days). Which means that it costs $1.90 per serving or day. Since it contains 3.5 grams of Collagen, that’s $5.43 for every 10 grams of Bovine Collagen.

The Price Feels Like A Rip-OffAnd let me just say that the price is bonkers. I mean, sure, there are also good amounts of Aloe Vera there but still.

So, I did some digging and I looked at all kinds of products both when it comes to Collagen and Aloe Vera.

For Aloe Vera, quality, drinkable stuff comes for about $25 per month. But depending on the manufacturer, we can get it for cheaper as well. Whereas for Collagen, there are many genuine quality stuff options we can find for less than $30 a month.

Now, mix the drinkable Aloe Vera with the Collagen Powder, and we basically have the same thing as Vim & Vigor Collagenate. The huge difference, however, is that it’s no longer the guessable quality and potentially harmful additives with miserable success rates. It’s exactly the opposite. Great quality, great ingredients, solid success rates. And it’s cheaper.

So, taking that into account, I don’t think it’s ever worth going for this Vim & Vigor wonder.

Pros & Cons | There Is Basically Nothing Good About This Collagen Product

Pros Cons
The Organically Grown Aloe Vera Leaf Juice is great. There’s too little Collagen for truly meaningful benefits.
The Collagen aspect likely lacks the qualities of Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised, Hormone-Free.
The supplement of this review likely uses GMO ingredients.
The additives are not ideal and can potentially bring various side effects.
Promoting weight loss with the Vim & Vigor Collagenate in any real way I don’t think is realistic.
The quality of the supplement feels questionable. They don’t do third-party testing either.
It has no meaningful amount of third-party customer reviews to assess the global success rate.
The price is pretty rubbish as well.

Overall | Collagenate Is Utterly Pointless, Don’t Waste Your Time & Money

Even when looking at the Vim & Vigor Collagenate with an open mind, it’s really hard to see any real positives for it. I feel it’s this very non-optimal, unpromising, even rubbish product that has no characteristic that truly puts it ahead when compared to what else is on the market.

I mean, sure, it’s got the Aloe Vera which comes from Organic sources. But that’s about it. I mean, everything is a negative about it.

Do Not Go For This - Not Worth It

There’s not enough quality or amount to the Collagen to say that it truly makes a difference. There is nothing that assures of the quality that this subscribes to; it potentially even doesn’t do any kind of testing. On top of that, it likely uses GMO ingredients. The price is bad. The additives are terrible.

And I don’t really see how this Vim & Vigor Collagen product can truly help people lose weight. I mean, there’s maybe some potential for it. But there are better supplement categories out there to tackle.

Hence, (out of avoid it, consider it, shortlist it, buy it) I believe we should avoid the product of this review. The way I see it, there is absolutely nothing going for it. As customers have said I think so too, it’s an utter waste of money.

That said, if you are looking for a proper Collagen supplement, I would suggest looking into this one (full review with a summary) which is my favorite one of all. It’s great both in terms of price and quality.

If you are, however, looking for a way to effectively lose weight, fasting and a proper MCT Oil (here’s a review on what I would pick) is probably the best course of action. Exogenous ketones may also play their part.

Other than that, I hope this Vim & Vigor Collagenate review helped you find the information you were looking for. If you have any thoughts or questions, I’m all here for you. And do feel free to leave your own personal reviews on the product as well.

  1. Wow I have an order ready to buy. Then I ran across this article, needless to say I won’t be buying it. Thanks for saving my money. So where is a good source to buy something like this. Plus I didn’t think there was enough information on vim and vigor website. Reason for my search finding your article. Thanks so much.

    • Hey, Georgine!

I guess it’s fair to say that the review came very timely and not too late. I am happy to hear that. :)

If weight loss is what you’re after, then I would go for an MCT Oil and learn to embrace fasting. Or are you rather interested in an Aloe Vera kind of product? If you are, do let me know. I can look around and see if I can find anything decent.

  2. Hi Matiss,

Thank you for a very comprehensive review on Vim & Vigor, a weight-loss supplement. However, it turns out that the product’s value does not meet up to its price.

I have not tried any weight-loss products yet, so your article is an eye-opener for me.

Maybe the product caters more to young adults? Or people who need to lose weight fast?

May your knowledge of supplements continue to enlighten us.

    • Hey, Annhariz!

Indeed, I think that it’s not worth buying at all. Glad this was insightful. :)

Personally, I don’t think it’s possible to lose weight using this fast. I mean, maybe you can lose some weight with this. But there are far better strategies in battling weight. Moreover, if this is the only thing that you change (consume the supplement), I don’t think it will make much of a difference at all.

Plus, I think success rates illustrate that perfectly.

      Cheers,
      Matiss

  3. I wish I had found your article sooner. I don’t take supplements, medications or anything like that. I’m blessed with extremely good health and have never had to diet in my entire 70 years! I have no medical issues what so ever and rarely take an aspirin for the odd headache. However, I seemed to be gaining a little of belly fat, and thought I would try this product to loose about 10 lbs and to test it before getting it for my daughter who can do with loosing 50lbs. After a month, I have not lost a single pound . On top of that, I have now developed a horrible type of heartburn, I think its a type of reflux. ?? It was particularly nasty when re-potting my patio/pool containers this morning when bending over. I called Vim & Vigor , someone was supposed to call me back and I’m still waiting. The product is expensive and for me, it was like taking castor oil .. horrible stuff but I endured for the wonderful benefits Vim & Vigor promised.
    Don’t waste your money!

    • Hey, Maria!

I absolutely feel you. And I’m really sad to hear that. :(

Other than that, I think your experience illustrates perfectly the point I was trying to put emphasis on with this Vim & Vigor Collagenate review. It’s not a product we should put our faith in when trying to lose weight.

Above all, I genuinely appreciate you taking your time to leave your personal review on this. Thank you.

    • Hey, Juanita!

That’s an interesting one. I’m really sorry to hear that if that’s what has been happening to you.

But it raises an interesting concern. I mean, if the Vim & Vigor is what might have caused this for you (or for anyone, for that matter), doesn’t it become something extremely paradoxical? Meaning, shouldn’t it be helping hair? But instead, it backfires on that aspect of health.

To that end, I’m also genuinely interested if anyone else has experienced hair loss whilst this probably being the culprit.

      Cheers,
      Matiss

  4. I wish that every time I needed a review about a supplement, that I would find an article like yours. It is very clear now to me that the Vim & Vigor Collagenate product is highly suspicious and that I’d rather save my money on this. Because you are right: the number of grams of an ingredient should be mentioned, because it can make a huge difference! Thanks for the review!

  5. Wow, this really gives a good insight on the Vim and Vigor Collagenate. It is really nice how you’ve exposed such a fraudulent product to the public, really shows that you are watching out for people especially those in your niche. I’m glad I came across you. Have a nice day!

  6. I believe this review has shown very well what this is actually about. Compliments to your writing. Well done!

In my opinion, it seems that Collagenate is all about the marketing materials, that it is here just to hype and persuade with testimonials. That at its core and it seems to me that this product is just interested in selling. And, frankly, that is not a sign of a quality product I believe. I’m more than sure that I will let this one slide.

  7. First things first, I just love the benefits that supplements like these have in store for the skin. Collagen is the main element that keeps your skin looking youthful and wrinkle-free. And, therefore, it’s especially important as you grow older.

Truth told, I was really looking forward to buying this product. I just liked the idea of coupling that with the benefits of Aloe Vera. It seemed like the ultimate combination. But, yeah, your review helped me see it for what it truly likely is. And I did not like the additives at all.

Thank you for bringing an honest view of the Vim & Vigor.

    • Hey, Dexidoo!

I feel you. Separately each of the ingredients is definitely awesome. I just don’t think it’s that capable of a mix here. Especially because we don’t exactly get introduced to how much of each per serving is there. Which I believe is crucial information.

And, yeah, additives are pretty trash here. At least the way I see it.

Glad this proved to be helpful.
