Olly Collagen Peptides Review – Multi-Tasking Superstar?

Marketing  |  Ingredients  |  Additives  |  Reviews  |  Pricing  |  Overall  |

In this Olly Collagen Peptides review, we will shed a very bright light on the supplement. We will discuss every aspect imaginable.

First, we’ll start off with an analysis of the promotional materials. That we will continue by looking at the beneficial ingredients and what they have the potential to offer. Third, we’ll do it about the additives. Fourth, we’ll discuss and assess customer reviews and global success rates. Fifth, we’ll spend a few on the price as well.

This Olly Collagen Peptides Review To Explore & Learn Everything

According to the manufacturer, Olly Collagen Peptides is the “multi-tasking superstar [..] essential for that beautiful glow we all long for. It’s also a key protein throughout our entire body so there are many benefits to our health—resilient skin, strong nails & healthy hair, just to name a few.* We’ll drink to that!” A massively helpful supplement from what it seems while also carrying a very upbeat kind of vibe [R].

Olly Collagen Peptides ReviewStill, despite all that hype, it’s said to be capable of supporting just glowing, healthy, strong skin, hair & nails. Which is kind of a standard when it comes to all Collagen supplements.

I mean, just about any other product being primarily about the protein will promise the same thing. Dr. Emil Multi Collagen (review), Perfotek Collagen (review), and Nutra Organics Collagen (review) are just a few examples of that.

So, I mean, very powerful and quite captivating first words. But then, it doesn’t seem to be more capable than the average thing.

With the Olly Collagen Peptides, the product page itself is a classic Olly very much like its siblings of Glowing Skin (review) and Vitamins Kids (review). It’s very readable, quite spacious, not overwhelming in any way.

As for the marketing, there are a few bits. They offer free shipping over orders of $50. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee. There’s also 15% off if we order a whole box (three) right off the bat. And, of course, a customer review section which has plenty of great reviews.

Are these Collagen Peptides of Olly Nutrition truly worth it though?

What About The Collagen Peptides Sourcing? Very Likely Poor

As far as just the beneficial ingredients, it certainly seems so. The Olly Collagen Peptides doesn’t do that miserable-pathetic type of approach we’ve seen with other supplements of the brand, like Olly Women’s Multi (review) or their Undeniable Beauty (review).

Olly Collagen Peptides IngredientsSo, with the supplement of this review, per serving, we get 10 grams of bovine hide Collagen Peptides. Which from a purely amounts perspective is decent. And thus, it does seem to be something that can deliver on those three core benefits that they persist on through their promotional materials [R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

Well, because if we look at the product page there is not a single statement or any sort of claim that this Collagen is of Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised animals. And hence, if there isn’t such a thing, the Olly Collagen Peptides is likely not sourced that way. Which is very, very far from the ideal, to say the least [R, R, R, R, R].

Corn-Fed Cows Are Not As Good For SourcingI mean, the protein from those likely Corn-Fed, Pasture-Deprived, Over-Hormoned cows just doesn’t have the capacity for promoting wellness that properly-sourced Collagen does. Which is kind of a huuuuuge shadow over the Collagen of Olly.

I mean, why would we ever consider a product with such a high probability of being poorly sourced?

We shouldn’t, ever. There are just too many quality options available that not only match the price but even outrival it. Live Conscious (LiveWell) Collagen Peptides (full review) being just one great example of that.

It’s Sad With Additives, There Are Likely GMOs Among Them

Typically, Olly hasn’t been the greatest supplements when it comes to additives. They usually oversugar things. But this time it seems they have refrained from doing that. But despite that, I believe this Olly Collagen is in the same village with stuff like NeoCell Beauty Bursts (review) and Vim & Vigor Collagen (review). The village of “likely not that great additives.”

This Supplement Uses Natural FlavorsSo, what does the supplement of this review use?

They go with Natural Flavors.

Many consider that to not be a bad thing. But, in reality, it all depends on manufacturing. While I have been very wary of that in the past, it seems to me, currently, that they are actually doing a pretty good job [R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

I mean, as far as I can tell, they don’t seem to third-party test their products but in-house testing is what they do not omit. Which is a good thing [R, R, R, R, R, R, R].

All that said, there is one other thing that bothers me a bit.

You see, any Natural Flavor is a mixture of a number of different substances. All of which are not necessarily good for us. I mean, they can be, and thus, a flavor of such sorts can even be considered slightly beneficial. However, given that they do not make a single claim or have a third-party certification for the Olly Collagen to be Non-GMO, it might actually contain such ingredients [R, R, R, R, R].

Again, we can’t know, for sure. This is just a speculation of what I feel is the most likely. But if it’s true, then also the additive part of the supplement is far from ideal. And hence, another potential reason why to give this one a pass.

Coming To Customer Reviews, Not A Single One To Be Found, Almost

Now, shifting the gears a little bit, how well does the Olly Collagen Peptides work in the real life? While we can’t assess this with an objective of 100% accuracy, we can still look at the customer reviews and see what we can learn from those.

Like many other Collagen brands out there, like Skinny Fit Super Youth (review) or Physician’s Choice Collagen Peptides (review), also the product of this review has a customer review section on its product page. And the reviews there are mostly good.

We get a default preview of the 5-star ones, obviously. There are actually some bad ones as well. Out of the total of 26, three of them were 1-star or 2-star. Which is not as one-sided as we’ve seen it to be with supplements like Code Age Multi Collagen (review) or LAC Taut Collagen (review).

Olly Collagen Peptides ReviewsEither way, it doesn’t still give any proper insight into the truth. Especially because these are something that can be easily manipulated by the manufacturer.

So, I did some research across the internet for Olly Collagen Peptides reviews.

This time I wasn’t as surprised as I was about half a year ago when all that I managed to find was just two 5-star reviews of the thing. Today, there are not that many more but, to some extent, we do get a better picture with where this is going.

So, in total, I came across 36 Olly Collagen Peptides reviews. There was one 1-star one, five 2-stars, three 3-star ones, six 4-star, and 21 of the 5-star. In other words, there were six negative ones and 30 positives. Hence, a global success rate of 83.3%. Which I believe is still something ridiculously high for how poor the Collagen sourcing likely is.

On that note, it is probably too early to tell for sure since there are only 36 reviews out there. I mean, we should have at least a 100 to be way more accurate. But I think this does give a pretty good idea. And what’s more, it also illustrates perfectly the common problem with looking at just customer reviews when shopping for a supplement.

Typically, any product no matter how low-quality often still has something to bring to the table. And so, trusting the most of the time innocently ignorant supplement reviews can create this false impression that it’s a good product when, in truth, it’s actually near that.

I mean, the Olly Collagen Peptides could have a 99.9% global success rate and I would still not buy it. Because the Collagen sourcing is just likely too bad.

And no review can ever change that.

The Supplement Is Not Great But The Pricing Is Just Ridiculous

So, while it may be a little too early to say for sure what the total success rate of the Olly Collagen Peptides reviews is, here’s one thing it isn’t too early for. It isn’t too early to realize that the supplement of this review is an expensive one. Like disproportionally expensive for what it provides.

So, the product typically costs $24.99 per container. A single container holds just 20 servings. Each serving is 10 grams or 10,000 milligrams of Collagen. Thus, it is about $1.25 per serving. Which is also the cost for every 10 grams of the protein. Or it’s 12.5 cents per gram. And here’s how it compares.

If We Do The Math It Does Not Look GoodSomething like the Zhou Collagen Peptides (review) cost typically $27.99 per 46 servings. So, it’s $0.61 per serving, each serving is 11 grams of Collagen. Hence, that’s 5.5 cents per every gram of the protein.

That’s less than half the price that Olly comes for. What’s more, Zhou also offers Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised, Hormone-Free Collagen, the kind of Collagen that we actually want. And they do in-house testing on their products.

Hence, not only there’s a huge gap between the prices, but also that’s a massive difference in quality.

Now, compare the Olly to something like the Live Conscious Collagen Peptides (review), and the picture isn’t any prettier. Typically the Live Conscious will cost about 6.0 cents per gram of Collagen but not only does it offer all of the Zhou’s quality, but also it does third-party testing on their products.

Now, would you care to agree that Olly Collagen Peptides is a ridiculously overpriced, low-quality, avoidable attempt?

To Finish The Review, This Olly Is Definitely To Avoid, Waste Of Time

Here’s my final assessment of the Olly Collagen Peptides. It’s an expensive, likely poorly-sourced Collagen supplement with potentially GMO-containing additives and realistically barely any record of being helpful to people.

I Would Avoid Certainly ThisIs that something we should buy?

God no! Avoid this one. The way I see it it’s an absolute waste of time.

If you are after a great Collagen supplement, I believe the Live Conscious (LiveWell) Collagen Peptides (full review with a summary) is one of the best if not the very best currently available. And that’s both in terms of the price and the quality it brings to the table.

So, be sure to check that out. And let me know what you think.

Above all, I hope this Olly Collagen Peptides review helped you find the information you were looking for. Have you been compelled by Olly before? What do you think of them not sourcing Collagen from Grass-Fed animals? Let me know below. Also, feel free to leave your own personal review of this below. I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Hello there, thanks a lot for sharing such a thorough and meticulous article with us. I must say that I really did enjoy going through your review. I would even go as far as to say that this is the best one on Olly Collagen Peptides out there as it contains plenty of valuable information. While I didn’t expect that to be the case, from the review, I can easily tell that this product is really a waste of time and money. To that end, I’m glad I found your article before actually buying the supplement. Thanks, again.

  2. How you gave us the fine details of this product is really something. I really liked that about your review. I absolutely did not expect the kind of detail that you dived in. The best thing is that I’m actually confident in my decision of not buying the Olly Collagen Peptides. I loved how you basically spelled out that it is not a product that I should try because it is too expensive and the products used to source it are very possibly not of good quality as either.

  3. Reviews play a vital role for me whenever I try to buy a product I haven’t bought before. But to me, seeing that there seems to be a lack of reviews for this, it just actually means that it is not to be too trusted. Generally speaking, I think this Olly has the right idea but this fact that you have pointed out (that it’s probably poor sourcing) sounds very, very, very alarming. It kind of even shocks me. It’s something that I think is so easy to miss, and I imagine any average human being typically will unless they do some digging. Thanks.

    • Hey, Darmi!

That’s definitely an interesting point. Purely customer reviews have their place in the overall assessment but they certainly are not everything. In fact, many often are what I refer to as innocently ignorant. Meaning, not the most reliable source of information. Just be careful with that.

As for the sourcing, I agree 100%. It’s something easy to miss, especially if all we do is look at the promotional materials of these Collagen Peptides.

      Cheers,

  5. Thank you for the review of this Collagen product from Olly. I have read your other review of the Collagen product from Livewell and agree with you in your conclusion. The seeming lack of information and lack of reviews is a sign that the product is new and lacks the basis for more reviews at the moment.

Your highlight of the Collagen Peptides sourcing is very important as it speaks to how the animals are being treated. Well-treated livestock caters to high-quality products.

I further agree with the natural flavor topic. The fact that they use natural flavors is fine, but I really like that they are doing in-house testing. Still, I would not choose it.

Sounds like this proved to be insightful. I’m glad.
And, yeah, I too like their in-house testing. But I, too, wouldn’t pick it.

Cheers, and have a Great Day!

  6. Hi,

From my own research, I believe the composition of Olly Collagen Peptides compared with other similar products is quite impressive as there are many products out there that offer way below 10 grams per serving. It sucks though that I too did not find a single assurance that this Collagen is sourced from Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised animals. It’s something I hadn’t thought about before your review. But it makes perfect sense that it’s important. All in all, I think it’s one of the main reasons why to give this one a pass.

    Thank you.

    Aluko.

    • Hey, Aluko!

Yeah, I can agree with that on so many levels. 10 grams is definitely nice but without Grass-Fed and/or Pasture-Raised it doesn’t feel like a good bet. Especially considering its other Collagen rivals out there.

Other than that, I’m glad this managed to be useful. And thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.

      I appreciate you, Aluko!
      Cheers,

  7. Thank you for this article on Olly Collagen. I appreciate the insights you’re providing. We need them because I think it’s so easy to go wrong, just too many companies are all profit-focused. I find it concerning that there are no convincing reviews on this product. I am skeptical of anything that cannot be easily traced online. Also, the excess additives are a big, big, big NO for me.

    • Hey, Bogadi!

Yeah, I can agree with that. A lot of not ideal products out there. It’s often quite hard, indeed, to decipher these poor, likely only profit-driven stuff from the rest. As for the reviews, it just appears to not have been around enough yet.

Either way, yeah, the additives. Not the best bunch.

Cheers, and have a Great One!

  8. The introduction is quite funny. And, indeed, you have used the review to shed a very bright light on the Olly Collagen Peptides and done so skillfully. Thank you for that. And, indeed, from the promotional materials, the supplement sure seems like an amazing one. Overall, though, I must confess that I have seen better ones. I’m not a fan of Olly skipping Grass-Fed. That’s like an insane drawback.

    • Hey, Kelvin!

I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the review.
Yeah, the promotional materials tend to always be nice. Even when products don’t exactly fit that mold. And I can only agree. It’s, indeed, not a good thing Olly thinks it’s okay to pass on Grass-Fed.

Cheers, and have a Great One!
